I want to say it was All Dogs Go To Heaven.

My daughters was Zootopia. She did well.

She’ll be 8 in November and sat through all 3:25 of Engame without leaving her goddamned seat. I even had to get up to pee in the middle. She’s my Marvel movie buddy and asks really sharp questions like “So was Cap just faking it when he tried to pick up Thor’s hammer before?”

I was like

E.T. the Extra Terrestrial. I was six. It was the most amazing thing I had ever seen.

We took our little girl recently as well. She’ll be 2 in September. Thought my wife was insane for wanting to take her but went anyway. She did awesome! Watched the whole thing, “secret life of pets 2”, and didn’t say a word. I was actually fussing at her mom for filming little here and there moments during the movie and my daughter turned and shhh’d me haha

Ferngully for me.

Toy Story 3 for my oldest. He got to see one of the greatest movies of all time as his first.

Orca back in the 70's in a small town theater. Been a Bo Derek fan ever since.

First movie I remember seeing was Godzilla 1998. But the first Pokemon movie left a much larger impression on me. Loved both as a kid only to realize they sucked when I grew up

My dad took me to see Porky's when I was five. I grew up a little that day.

Star Wars (1977) was the first for me.

Hard to top that.

Titanic wasn't my first theater experience but I'll never forget the look on my mom's face when Kate Winslet's big ol' melons came out.

Good stuff. I've got a 3 year old that will love his first movie. He's definitely not ready yet, or maybe I'm not. For the same reason you have, no way I expect him to sit in a chair for 90 minutes.

The earliest movie theater experience I can remember vividly was Blazing Saddles.

I think I was 6. The campfire/beans scene was the most memorable part for a kid and probably the only part a kid could really understand.

And I remember seeing Herbie Rides Again, around the same time. I don't know which movie was released first.

The first movie I can clearly remember seeing in the theater was "Starship Troopers". I straight up did not have a good time. The bugs scared and grossed the hell out of me.

The first movie I can remember seeing at the theater was E.T.

My dad and I went to the movies a lot. I can remember him and I seeing Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Hunt for Red October, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Star Trek First Contact, Apollo 13, etc. together. Good times.
