I forgot about that show. I was working at Compaq at the time and could totally relate.

Early 2000s there were 3 sci-fi shows. Surface, Invasion and Threshold . They were all finally getting a bit interesting at the end of the season and all cancelled. They took too long to get interesting but I was sad we didn't at least get a season 2 to see where they were going.

The cancellation of 3 sci-fi shows prompted me to never watch a new sci-fi show until I know it at least gets a season 2. I think I have mostly stuck to that rule for 20 years. Maybe not 100% but close.

There was a fine show in the early 90s called "Homefront", about the effects on soldiers returning from WW2. It barely limped thru 2 seasons, ratings-wise. It deserved at least a 3rd season.

Vinyl. I watched it years after it released knowing full well that Scorsese didn't make a Season 2, and I was still pissed when it ended. That show was awesome.

Studio 60 lasted 2 seasons, so it doesn't technically count, but that show was awesome, too.

It’s a shame Max and Netflix both chose not to renew this show. Highly recommend and it only takes about 4 hours to watch it all.

Agree on Invasion.

I remember when Nowhere Man with Bruce Greenwood got cancelled.
John Doe with Dominic Purcell.

Never saw that, but I remember Stephanie Romanov from Angel .

It was a mid 90's show, Aaron Spelling, set in the same world as Melrose Place I believe. Fox advertised the hell out of it and I watched it for all the hot ladies. Surprised it didn't get more than the 1 season. It was typical melodrama but had all the hot chicks.

They gave Stephanie some fantastic lines...

The 'handicapable' line always stands out to me for some reason.
