1 damn season? Such an iconic show and all my life I was sure it was sure it ran for a few years, at least.

It's referenced so often and was recreated by the WB cartoons, I felt that of course it had a decent run.

I’m thinking I’m going to have to track it down and see for myself.

I want to say I have a memory of starting it, but then being turned off about a mopey teenage girl complaining about stuff. Guess there was more to it than that?

Undeclared makes the list too. Another cancelled Apatow show that followed up Freaks and Geeks.

Undeclared was great. I’ll throw this random show on Fox that I actually bought on Apple TV the other month I’ve never met anyone who remembers it. It was around 2010-2011

But yeah I think of Quarry and this show when it comes to 1 season shows. If we are slipping in a two season show, I’ll say Ridley Scott’s raised by wolves. Probably the best thing he’s done since Prometheus. That was just really starting to get good and the season finale of season 2 was legitimately creepy and setting up for what I believed was going to be an unhinged and awesome season 3.it was like Prometheus on an acid trip. HBO doesn’t even have it anymore and it’s bullshite considering it came out in 2020.

I'm cheating a bit with this one because it didn't even last a season. Heck, I am not sure it made it through 10 episodes but I seem to recall being upset when they canceled Defying Gravity because I wanted to see where they were going with it.

I just randomly thought of another one.

Dispatches from Elsewhere was really weird but interesting. Seemed like they only wanted one season though, it wrapped up nicely.

Outer Range lasted 2 seasons, but I feel like that kinda fits what you’re going for. Didn’t get to finish the story

It’s a shame Max and Netflix both chose not to renew this show.

Tales of the Golden Monkey - show set in the Pacific Islands in the late 30s. It was made to capitalize on the Indiana Jones craze of the early 80s.
