Training sequence in Rocky IV, beginning of Top Gun on surround sound, Gordon Gekko's greed is good speech in Wall Street, and The Big Short jenga tower tranches scene. "Look at him, that's my quant" makes me piss myself every time.

Wife goes to bed at 9PM every Friday so I do this almost weekly

Usually some slow burn type movie I've seen but not in a while. Random ones that come to mind:

'71
The Dig
Arrival
Tinker Tailor
Lion

Josey Wales or JFK are the only appropriate answers here.

Either has to be something have never seen before but have been wanting to watch and the wifey isn't interested. How bad the movie ends up being will determine how miserable the morning will be Or it has to be an action movie I have seen several times. The last few times I have been in similar situations (wife went to be early) it was The Protector, Apocalypto, and the last Borne movie.

For me, a good gangster, western or comedy movie works.

I'm a guy, so none of those "touchy-feely" movies in my wheelhouse where there's more idle talking to action ratio.
