She didn’t just spring out of nowhere with Luca’s blessing to run Lucafilm and by extension the franchise.

Kathleen brought coffee to George when he was making Star Wars. George’s wife, not Kathleen, is the one who saved the first movie.
George makes bad decisions. From midi-chlorians to remastering his original work, but Kathleen Kennedy was the worst choice to succeed him.
Willow series isn’t even on the D+ platform. Dial Dysentery of was a box office disaster. The Force is Female is giving us 13% fan approval. Stop simping for KK. You’re embarrassing yourself.

And was the producer for the Jurassic Park, Gremlins, ET, Hook, etc.
And was the executive producer for the BTTF trilogy, who framed Roger Rabbit, etc.
And she was co owner of the company making many of these movies, so it’s not like she didn’t have any clout.
In fact, her role in many of those movies isn’t dissimilar to her role with Star Wars.

He's different in that he actually does have the resources to do something about it more than complain. Very few of us are billionaires that could literally offer up for the IP and do something with it.
