Ellen Page comes out as transgender, announces he is now Elliot Page.

I hate to say “that’s brave of him” because I don’t want it to sound condescending, but goddamn, to be a celebrity and open up on the most private secret in your life and to do it publicly, takes some serious fortitude.
I don’t think I could weather the sheer amount of negativity thrown my way from cruel people. I’m incredibly lucky to have a ton of support and I’m just a nobody in the PNW; the worst comments I endure are pretty limited to TD. I can’t imagine what Elliot will endure.

Watching her mental decline over the last decade has been tragic to say the least. I remember when I first saw her in X-3 and thinking how attractive she was. IF she goes all the way and starts injecting herself with hormone shots, I will do my best to remember her as Kitty Pride and not the ugly monstrosity she will have become.
