Eric Bana
steals every scene he is a part of.

Was it because his was the "best" character in the movie-a seasoned Southern Delta Force Operator or did he add something like charisma to it?

I would want that guy to have my back and would have hung on every word his character spoke. He was like an Army Jesus.

Why are Aussies like Bana and Brits like Vivien Leigh so convincing as Southerners?

The Great Escape wasn't too shabby of a cast.

A part was written for Gary Oldman, but then he was told not to show up before shooting began. Billy Bob Thornton (who is not in the film) recorded a voice-over (reportedly three hours of it) for the film that was never used. Actors like Martin Sheen, Jason Patric and Viggo Mortensen are also part of the actors allegedly cut from the film.

1) People who've never seen a movie made before 1990 should be prohibited from using the phrase "all time"

2) Any film with Josh Hartnett is disqualified from consideration for best cast

many bow down and worship anything he does. many have stated that he is the next De Niro, Brando, etc. Tom Hardy has been receiving similar treatment around here by some as well.

I don't get this shite, he's seriously tight roping a line to be as bad as Shia Labeouf and that kid is terrible.

Without looking up names, I would think The Departed is up there in terms of cast.

It's because of Looper. Was a popular movie among the M/TV board and that is the first movie where he was legitimately good.
