liked the lil X man music cue from the comics when professor X came out

I totally nerded out when Prof. X rolled in with the motorized yellow chair and theme music from the 90s cartoon.

I want to give it like a 7 out of 10 but so many things bothered me that I think it's more like a 5 for me. Really disliked the illuminati stuff. Why introduce John K. as Reed like that. shite they should have just used the guy from the original F4 films.

I don't care if Wanda "redeemed" herself at the end she's too far gone and a wacko to ever be trusted again. She's signed on for like 5 more films so I hope they don't try and make her a hero again.

I do have one question: is Marvel using multiverse, dimensions, and timeline to all mean the same thing?

The movies are playing fast a loose with the terminology. Generally, there are dimensions within a universe (Superstring posits ten, for example). A multiverse is a bunch of universes.

Think of it kind of like cables:

The "universe" is the entire cable. The "dimensions" are the different levels (although that's not the best physical representation, it at least gives a basic idea). A "multiverse" would then be a bundle (or, in Marvel's case, and infinite number) of cables.

After seeing it. I remember people on this board saying Wanda could be the villain moving forward. Good call.

She was incredibly strong. But to be able to snap Professor X's neck?

Also really hoping John Krasinski is Reed Richards that us a great casting. I also like Monica Rambeau better as Captain Marvel. Brie just can't act.

The Illuminati earth looked perfect. Maybe too much pollen in the air. Other than that. Very interesting.
I wish the MCU would have gotten a different designation. They got the comic universe designation.

It was good. Not great. Mid tier marvel movie

The scarlet witch in Lore is supposed to be like the second or third strongest entity in the whole multiverse, so this doesn’t really seem like a stretch to me at all

I just got out and liked the movie. I will go with 7/10 like many others, though I am teetering on 6/10 instead.

The Illuminati being a job squad for Wanda, while awesome action, seemed like a waste of the characters. Though Black Bolt freaking out on his mouth disappearing and accidentally blowing his own brain looked cool,it felt really hollow.

I also really hated them dubbing the MCU 616. 616 is the comics. You can make reference to it, but don't use it for the movies. They are way too different from the comics.

America Chavez was better in this movie than the comics, but the actress was just bad. I appreciate that they toned down her character, and she wasn't just a Mary Sue. She struggled, she was scared, and at the end while her actions led to Wanda stopping, she didn't outright overpower her to defeat her.

And man, Wanda was just so fantastic this movie. I was seriously rooting for her to get her kids. She was full blown Momma Bear. I think a huge part of this movie was about the lengths a mom will go to for her children.

One thought I had though it didn't take away from the movie. Was the Illuminati the Avengers in their universe? Is there no Iron Man, Hulk, Spiderman, Ant Man, Thor, etc? Cause the Thanos they killed looked to have been ran through the chest with a spear.

I tend to agree with you, but I may be biased. A friend of mine's daughter was up for this role....she actually made the cut down to the last 4 actresses considered. Great kid and is gonna be a superstar one day. Has already shot a pilot for HBO and has been in line for some big projects. I cannot help but thik she would have crushed this role.

I thought the actress was fine in this role and not bad at all. Lot of executive producers in this thread

I think the Black Bolt scene was a wink at how bad the Inhumans series was.

I enjoyed the movie.

It has Army of Darkness all over it.

Will Loki and Kang get a movie?

The Illuminati are supposed to be super arrogant and full of themselves and it shows especially with how 838 Captain Marvel reacted. We saw in the flashback that 838 Strange let them kill him so there wasn’t even a fight.

When Wanda 616 came crashing in she wasn’t about to let anyone touch her let alone kill her. It’s why we see the team get waffle stomped also shows just how strong Wanda had become probably the strongest MCU 616 character at that time.

Also don’t think this is the last time we will see Professor X or Krasinski as Reed

Lastly, it’s complete & utter BS that the MCU is claiming 616 for itself. That’s the comic universe & I think Feige should be ashamed for allowing that.

This first happened in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Everytime the movie showed a character in a different universe where the person was the same (i.e. Strange, Wanda, Mordo, Peggy Carter, etc.) it was always played by the same actor.

Which means, if we get Reed Richards in the MCU, I’d put good money on it being Krazinsky

I would be really surprised if Krasinski signed up for it. He has an exclusive first-look deal with Paramount. Maybe if it were one or two films, but the Reed character will likely be a 8-10 year commitment.

They are using it like Hollywood used "hacking" in the 90's and 2000's. "You don't understand it, so it can do anything and be everything"

Are you referring to Far From Home with Mysterio? He mentions 616 as the universe for the movies, but he was faking everything. So I took that as an Easter Egg nod.
