You know most of this type of stuff is just licensed out and Disney doesn’t actively make decisions on it, right?

Disney thanked the Chinese version of the Schutzstaffel in the credits to Mulan. Ummm, no they’re making these decisions. Worked in the Chinese film industry before for marketing, so yeah, I would know.

You know most of this type of stuff is just licensed out and Disney has an ironclad contract on how their images can be used, right?

So State farm can go back to the white Jake, since 80% of the US is technically white? And no one will care?

Really concerned though that people watch video podcasts like that one. Those are the assholes that we'd force to sit somewhere else during high school lunch.

You say that as if there are star war/superhero podcasts or youtubes for cool people. Nope. They don't exist. All of the people who make all of these and all of the people who watch them are all fricking losers.

People who look for reasons to be outraged by star wars and superhero rumors, and the people who flock to these threads to defend the studios and celebrities - all fricking losers. ALL. OF. THEM.

Tell me again about how Disney is forward thinking and inclusive.

Who thinks this? Disney is a business that makes business decisions. It's the only kind of decision they make. Ever. Any decision that looks forward-thinking is just as calculated as a decision to remove a black character from the marketing materials for a specific market.

You guys like to think that. Promo material really isnt that strict.

Im a bit put off after looking at the entire set on Twitter. Poe Dameron isnt even on one of these posters.

Dude, they thanked the people who are running concentration camps, shaving Uyghurs heads, sending them off for slave labor, sterilizing them, and harvesting their organs. They do not remotely deserve the benefit of the doubt.

Disney for starters. Except when it impacts their China bucks. Then the virtues they signal here in the states get tossed aside so they can catch bags of money with both hands. It's not just business, it's hypocrisy.

For those of us that aren't keeping score, did the guy that plays him say something bad about China?
Is Finn the Daryl Morey of Hollywood in one of the last few SW movies?

Keep sucking the dicks of people who hate you.

At least you're not oozing your bullshite onto other boards anymore. You don't do well outside of your safe space.

Because you either didn’t watch or didn’t understand the video: it’s not that a 3rd party didn’t include them.

It’s that a third party did, as part of a contest, and Disney chose to use a certain image after some tweaks.

Could China make it anymore obvious?

Mexico too has had the same issue. The Butler, Mexican poster...

The American poster:

Italy's poster of 12 Years a Slave:

America's poster:

And we're the racist nation?

But they did that because Lucas still retains character royalties from the OT.
