It feels like that's how they want it to feel, but It's clearly not going to be anywhere like that.
the original was pretty violent. we'll have to see if it's toned down.

They smacked us in the face with a major character death and unhinged carnage in the first 15 minutes. Holy shite.

I never watched the original Netflix series. Is it worth it to go and rewatch the original, or should I just directly hop in here?

The original series is great, so you should watch it just for that, but more importantly, you'll be completely lost watching this one without the original series.

It was originally meant to be a soft reboot of the Netflix series, but was scrapped mid shoot to be a direct continuation. It starts off fast and just drops you in with zero time reintroducing characters. The first 2 episodes might feel slow if you aren't already invested in Matt Murdoch or Fisk's story arcs.

Spider-Daredevil-Man? I don't need CGI Daredevil flying around rooftops. There should be zero CGI in this show.
That was a hell of a start to the season though. RIP Foggy. I'm hoping we aren't going to see lawyer Murdoch for the next 3-4 episodes and have to wait to see Daredevil at basically the end of the season.

I just finished the second episode. First two episodes are a little slow in spots, but I feel like that'll all blow up soon enough. The action is great.

I busted out laughing when they all had their blue hats on celebrating his election. I was waiting for Fisk to say “Make New York Great Again”.
But aside from that and the cgi opening, it was 2 good episodes.
