I haven’t read to see if it’s been mentioned yet, but that Burger King campaign that’s been running all year with the guy purposely singing off key drives me freaking insane.

Why does that bother people more than other interracial combinations?

The only winner in the Burger King campaign is the black dude who gets called into the studio every 2 weeks for another awful rendition of that jingle.

didn't have time to read 12 pages but saw this one twice in the span of about 3 minutes today (for the first time)
the Cheez it commercial with the guy loses his clothes sliding on ice eating cheese crackers. I don't get it. not funny. really weird to me.

He's not singing off key. It's an effect created by monochromatic harmony. The backup vocals are the exact same notes as the lead vocal, which instantly creates a slight off-ness to the sound. A good example is Janes Addiction, the singer uses a delay pedal (or processor) set at just a fraction of a second behind real time to back up his vocal with his own voice in near real time so the long notes have an odd sound even though it's literally the same pitch. People don't think sound waves be like it is, but it do.

Tom Brady Hertz commercials with the faux Oprah setup.
On every damn youtube video I watch, and they are absolutely obnoxious. And I don't understand the purpose of the marketing campaign. People rent cars based on two factors- price or whoever the company preferred vendor is for business travel.

Never heard that term before - it's not really harmony, it's basically isolating one section of a choir. The issue is that there are no other notes to create the fuller sound of a chord. It still sounds like shite, just like hearing only the alto section singing flats without hearing the melody.

Too many cringeworthy ads.
But here is a darn good one — John Travolta reprising his Saturday Night Fever persona in a Santa costume. Great music and he still has that strut. Great commercial.

Favorite part is the lady giving him the eyes in the shop after he swipes his card

It still sucks.

I'm pretty sure the woman selling the shoes was from Saturday Night Fever.

Got a new hate . . .
Payton Manning buying a round of Bud Lights for the bar - and the patrons jumping up and down, eager to catch a pass of Bud Light from Payton . . .
And they have another one with Miles Teller dancing around like an idiot.
The NEW slogan - "easy to drink, easy to enjoy"

Has the All State commercial with the old trans dude telling folks “it won’t fit” been mentioned yet? I’m guessing he’s got a lot of experience seeing if objects will or wont fit into orifices.

Any of the Door Dash commercials with Coach Beard from Ted lasso. I have never been so irrationally pissed off about some trying to be funny and do the exact opposite.
