Citizen Vigilante is a controversial 2026 action-thriller directed by Uwe Boll, starring Armie Hammer as a wealthy American who becomes a vigilante in Europe, targeting criminals and corrupt officials after a personal tragedy, gaining public support while being hunted by Interpol. The film, inspired by real-world events, explores themes of law and order, justice, and immigration, and has been noted for its provocative and violent content, with some critics calling it "morally bankrupt" while others find it a "dangerous" commentary on current socio-politics. It was released in theaters and on digital platforms on June 19, 2026.

This is the movie we deserve but not the one we need right now.

Uwe Boll is without a doubt the worst director working today, maybe ever. His movies are complete trash and not in a fun, Neil Breen kind of way.

Absolute truth. When I saw Uwe Boll, I knew what to expect.

I just finished watching this. Is it a good movie? Not really, but it's not bad either. It's extremely flawed with some extreme out of character moments, shot with a bright color palate with little to no proper usage of lighting or shadows to create any mise en scene, and it has some truly bad CGI effects. With that said, the pacing was decent enough, the acting was ok and surprisingly some of the camera work was clever (minus any artistic use of lighting).

Honestly if it weren't for the message that I fully support then this is something I'd probably have finished anyway. It was just entertaining and engaging enough for me to finish it.

Banned in Germany because they’re not allowed to notice the 3rd world invader’s behavior.
