No, I don't find EVERYTHING he says funny, but damn, he gives zero fricks.
Props.

So every symbol of "whiteness" in America can be ridiculed or burned down and I cant point out some one sided race jokes lol
Gotcha

Just watched it and it was probably his weakest Netflix special but still very solid. I’m looking to forward to finally seeing him this month after 3 postponements/cancellations.

It's quite convenient isn't it? They can denigrate, insult and be racist towards white people at will and if we object at any point it's white fragility. It's bullshite and they know it

Caught her too. Notice how they do NOT find this LGBTLMNOP humor funny at all.
And she's one you look at and would bet your entire life savings she voted for Biden.
fricking useless whale.

Finished the show. Damn, this guy goes from laugh riot, pulling heart strings back to stone funny like flipping a switch.
He knew that story of his friend was gonna hit like a ton of bricks, but didn't flinch or let on one damn bit.
Heartfelt and honest, as much as anything.
For Norm.

I didn’t think it was that funny tbh. Felt like he went for hard shock value and it fell flat with me.

I’ll give the guy credit. It would be easy for him to come out and grandstand, bring out the chapelle from the early 2000s. Maybe tell a Charlie Murphy/Rick James story. Instead he comes out and punches America right in its lesbian dick, even though he knows he’s going to get crucified for it.

Probably his worst special to date. Hopefully it is his last if this is the kind of material he is going to put out. Like people said in here, its the epitome of law hanging fruit. Race, politics, lgbtq, rinse and repeat.
In his early days, he would talk about race and politics but it was mixed in with just random stories and bits. His stories were comedic genius. I went from being able to recite those standup shows word for word to I wouldnt even suggest this special to my friends to watch.
He now talks(lectures) to the crowd like he is some enlightened dude above everything. I laughed when he said he walked away from 50 million. No, you freaked out and went into an episode and they took that money opportunity away from you. You didnt stick it to the man. The man stuck it to you.
And jesus he hates white people more than ever now.

I liked it. The one joke that irked me was the one about Bruce Jenner finding it easier to change his gender than it was for Muhammad Ali to change his name. it was supposed to be some kind of comment about race in America, and it was bullshite.
The reason Ali caught hell from white America wasn't because he changed his name. It was because he dodged the draft, and because he joined a black supremacist organization every bit as racist as the KKK. No one gave a frick that he changed his name.

How does that work? By your logic, had he taken the man’s money and helped make the man even more money, that would be “sticking it to the man” then? I think think Chappelle and Comedy Central both lost with him walking away, for whatever reason he chose to leave.

Nothing new. The song he came out to for every episode of Chappelle show literally says, “ If we don't get them, they gonna get us all. I'm down for runnin' up on them crackers in they city hall”.

I thought it was funny, poignant, and thoughtful. People who take offense are looking at the parts and not the whole. You don’t summarize the totality of a story after the first 5 minutes. He’s delivering a larger piece, than just a line here or there.

I went back and watched sticks and stones after watching closer.... Absolutely no comparison. Sticks and Stones is so much funnier..... Plus he looked like he was actually enjoying himself, not so much in Closer.

Closer was a total piece of work, addressing issues, and masterfully done.
I don’t think comparing the two is fair. They were completely two different goals to achieve.

Yeah, I was basing my opinion off of how funny each was since it was advertised as comedy

I went back and watched a few episodes of Chappelle show a while back and some of the jokes and skits on there I couldn't believe. While hysterical, no way it would fly today. LOL
