Was ok, felt like it was rushed material.

That's a good way to describe it for me. It did feel like he just threw some hot topic shite together and called it a day.

Also, Dave felt way too arrogant in this special for me, if that makes sense. I know his act has always had a tinge of that, but it felt more in your face in this one. I mean, he directly refers to himself as the GOAT, which most GOATs don't do.

Funniest Ted Talk I’ve sat through.
Preachiest stand-up show I’ve sat through.

I laughed the loudest when he tried to spin his nervous breakdown into a “sticking it to the man” scenario when he walked away from $50MM.

Dude cracked under the pressure and 10 years later trying to blame the system. Haha

Well, the country has been on a never before seen parade of arse kissing with Dave for the last 2 years. Him quitting Chappelle show was boss shite, sure. But he's clearly bought into the legend that he's somehow the comedic Nelson Mandela at this point

Lets just call Dave Chappelle what he is...a culturally approved racist.

Dude straight up said he has nothing against anybody except white people. His entire career has been based on it

His main writing partner is white...

So you’ve never actually seen Chappelle’s Show?

That is such a laughable implication. The treatment he gives whites vs blacks isn't on the same planet. He typically parodies hood stereotypes while 90% of his white stuff depicts racism of some sort

And it's gotten far less tongue and cheek since his Chappelle show days. Which was 20 friggin years ago to begin with

This.

It was an ok special, and while the story at the end was good, the payoff itself wasn't up to his typical level.

Weakest Netflix special for him, but still solid Chapelle.

I tend to agree with this assessment. He's made his career off of race and I think it's become tiresome and lazy.

It’s not lazy. He works at it. It’s a compulsion.

It is lazy. In today's day and age, race is a hackneyed premise.

Well its lazy in the sense that its the lowest imaginable hanging fruit. And your contemporaries and the critics will clap like spellbound seals. Especially when you can throw the magic n word around left and right for effect

Which, be honest, like rap music its a cheat code. You punctuate almost any sentence with the word ni&&a and half the audience will reflexively laugh like retards

What percentage black comics we guessing built their entire careers almost solely on race jokes? Doesnt matter. But its stupidly high

Eta. Wasnt intending to deep dive on this particular special But the consensus these days seems to be that Dave is the goat. So here we are

Lovedf it. One thing I like about Chappelle no one is safe. Loved the real talk about history and the black that was freed and then bought slaves and then bred them. You wont hear that on the main stream media. Truth
