He threw it in there in the context of him making a larger point about "my people". I don't know. I'm just burnt out on the entire trans conversation. Tired of seeing and hearing about it truthfully.

Yep. I'm tired of talking about race all the damn time, too. Chappelle was great with it years ago. Now he's just another voice in the crowd. It's the same shite over and over.

I thought it was OK, worth the watch but I felt like the 15 minute Daphne Dorman story read like "But, I have black friend" just like it did in S&S but worse.

The best and most hilarious aspect of Chappelle's most recent specials is the SJW reactions following their drop.
One commentator on NPR said Dave was using white privilege to make his trans jokes.

Dave hasn't been great since he left for his sabbatical and bulked up. People keep hoping he's going to deliver some killer specials, like back in the day,but he's lost it tbh. It's just lazy joke writing at this point

I laughed out loud several times. Dave has a way of telling a story unlike any other comedian out there. Not his best, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy it

I’m halfway through and this is one of his best specials. My sides hurt from laughing to hard.
ETA just finished it and god damn that was fantastic. Sad that this may be the last special for a while but Jesus. He hit out of the park.

I don't know, his first couple of Netflix specials were really good.

He's touring new material already, I don't think it'll be that long... he'll probably sign a new deal with Netflix and probably put out his next special in like 2 years
