Harry was pureblood, not half blood. It wouldn't make sense to call him half blood or mudblood.

Harry was a Half-blood, because his mother was Muggle born.

From the same source you got me with

quote:

Pure-blood was the term for wizarding families who claimed to have no Muggles, Squibs, Muggle-borns, or half-bloods in their family tree; however, when traced back far enough, nearly every family tree had a few non-magical ancestors.[1][2][3] Most wizards and witches considered an individual to be a pure-blood if neither his or her parents nor grandparents were Muggles, Squibs, or Muggle-borns.[4]

Despite what she might say now, there’s never any instance in the books where a half blood is ever called a mudblood. It’s always been a muggle born thing. Why wouldn’t the Death Eaters and Malfoy call Harry that, when they do that to Hermione all the time.

Another instance where you are incorrect. Harry was half blood. His father, James, was pure blood. Lily was muggle born. Neither of her parents were magical and neither was Pentunia’s bitch arse.

This makes Harry half blood

Got kids now and we’re deep into the HP universe so I’ve been brushing up, watching the movies, listening to the books and shite

I was almost certain it wasn’t a thing Not to say Bug is wrong because Rowling has been known to change shite all the time on a whim.

I mean at least snape didn’t belong to a nazi like group of wizards who believed in the superiority of their blood and race.

Oh wait….

Guess they are going to have to make the entire slytherin house including Voldemort black to make it make sense now.

No, it was just blood...not race

Black Slytherin in movies

There are real reasons to not like the casting, no need to make up things to be upset about

Where was it once mentioned death eaters were all of a certain race?

And as it relates to pure bloods, Kingsley Shackelford is explicitly described as black in the book and a pure blood. It had nothing to do with race

Blaise Zabini was black and a prominent death eater supporting Slytherin in the books as well

Yep, that was who i posted above, mentioned a lot more in the books than the movies, not sure if was ever mentioned as a Death Eater though, just a Hogwarts Slytherin and on the Quidditch team

Yes, the movies were adapted from the novels. Now we are getting a series adapted from the novels. Not sure how this is confusing to you at all. We arent getting a series adapted from the novels and movies. They are only using the books to adapt to the series. It’s a new adaptation.

And you’re not even aware of how fricking stupid you sound.

What they said was factually correct, the movies have nothing to do with this series. They made numerous changed from the books in the movies (more as the movies went on) that I would expect to be completely different in the TV series.

That said, this has no bearing on casting a black Snape , that is wrong based on the movies and the books

The issue of blood status for Slytherin is odd too considering Snape and even Voldemort were half blood.

I tend to agree but how much you wanna bet Voldemort is a middle aged white guy? Don’t tell me they aren’t playing into the demographics game…

It would be the same logic as saying we’re doing a series that parallels the OT Star Wars movies from the political side with the 3 main characters minimized so race and gender swapping the 3 main characters doesn’t alter the look of the OT characters. To anyone with a working brain that’s an insane argument to make.

Did we forget their treatment of goblins and house elves?

I'll point out the hilarious reason this series supposedly even exists is that they said they could do a more faithful adaptation of each book over a longer season, they could cover things the films couldn't, etc.

So yeah, more faithful adaptation my black arse.
