I liked spidey... but I just didn't see the point of bringing in an unknown kid to a big boy fight.. yes he held his own, but still...

He did more than hold his own. He was literally the strongest person in that fight until Ant Man added "Gi" to his name.

Stark wanted him because he saw how fast, agile, and strong he was and knew he had to bring in someone to even the odds.

But bringing him in to the fight was only done to "at-at" giant man...

That doesn't seemed forced to you?

Like I said , I liked the movie.. but there were a ton of flaws.

Cap should have died. That would be the only way to bring stark back to thinking straight.

His entire team were his creations... war machine. . Stark made, vision stark made, spiderman stark brainwashed and stark costume, panther just bucky hatred, widow very VERY neutral.

As far as movie making... I think marvel has taken its time creating a great story and this one felt rushed. I loved that zemo and crossbones were just side pieces in this fight but there needs to be casualties. There needs to be a brutal point of no return...

What odds?

Two ironmen and vision are enough. ... add black panther and the fight is over.

It took bucky and cap to barely take down a weakened stark.

Did you totally miss the part where he took out Bucky and Falcon by himself?

John McClain should have died to. That way his wife would come to appreciate the great man that he was.

Scarlet Witch is clearly the strongest IMO. She could pretty much do whatever she wants.

Then Vision and then Spiderman.

Nope... I saw that part. I didn't say he couldn't fight. He did damn well against everybody...
I was just saying his cameo seemed forced.

I agree that it does seem like he just comes out of nowhere. Suddenly Spiderman and all. But that's sort of the point of a cameo, right?

I think tony more wanted the government to feel like it had some control vs. actually letting them fully dictate how the avengers operate. He clearly had no issues with challenging or defying Ross when he disagreed with him. He realized government intervention was going to happen one way or the other.

I agree.. I guess I would compare spidey to quicksilver in "Days of future past"

It's like awesome! got him! now go home because clearly you are way too expensive and powerful to make the plot believable

That's how I see it. Tony had no interest in being a pawn. He fully realized the dangers created by the inevitability that at some point SOMEONE would control supers. He was trying to get ahead of that and control it. If there is on defining quality of Stark, he is a man used to being in control.

Problem with Tony was he was ready to sign whatever they threw in front of him and the attempt to make changes later. Cap would have preferred they come up with something first and agree to it then sign

because he knew it was ultimately meaningless. They were signing this to get the government off their arse and keep the team together.

He believed it was meaningless yet wanted to bring Cap in when he was on the Tarmac and explained his position?

Cap had shown his judgement was pretty cloudy when it came to Bucky, I think you could forgive Tony for not taking his word for it.

Seriously. When did Spider-Man become Superman? For power levels, I'd put him behind Iron Man, War Machine, Vision, Wanda... Spider-Man's greatest power is his popularity.

the dude was running on "you killed my mom so now I kill you" rage and adrenaline while Cap and Bucky were simply trying to neutralize him.
