for the streamers out there rainier land has a really good quality stream up. used it last night to see the middle fight scene again.
Was good quality, but I want to see it again in theaters so didn't watch the entire stream for when it speaks in German or shows words on the screen.

In Ultimate Marvel (where we get Laura Barton from), May Parker is in her late 40s/early 50s.

Disney occupies the top two spots at the box office for a second straight weekend as Captain America: Civil War and The Jungle Book had repeat performances at #1 and #2 respectively.
Repeating at number one, Disney and Marvel's Captain America: Civil War brought in an estimated $72.5 million, enough to make it one of the top ten second weekend results of all-time. The 59% drop is on par with last year's Avengers: Age of Ultron and if it continues on this trajectory it will be looking at a domestic cume at or around $430 million. As of now, the domestic total is just shy of $300 million.
Internationally the film continues the push toward becoming the year's first $1 billion earner worldwide as it brought in $84.2 million, bringing the international cume to $645 million and the global total to $940.89 million. The film's performance also pushes the cumulative, worldwide total for the thirteen films that currently make up the Marvel Cinematic Universe to over $10 billion with Civil War ranking fourth on the worldwide list (seventh domestically) among all films in the MCU.
Finishing second, Disney's The Jungle Book brought in an estimated $17.7 million, pushing the film's cume over $310 million. This is the second Disney release in 2016 to top $300 million domestically after Zootopia and they'll soon be joined by Civil War.

Watched it again yesterday.
Something that i picked up on on this watch, is that Steve's position is even stronger than I thought thanks to Ross and Tony, and anyone saying he is in the wrong, might actually be wrong - It might be more of a pick your side thing rather than a "right" and "wrong" thing.

i'm not the biggest cap fan, but he's right. he/the movie just didn't do a good job allowing him to argue his side

I can't place this movie. What movie is this from?

Pretty good for a comic movie. Man that guy with the bow was like a fish out of water. What a lame comic character. How much does Captain America weigh? I laughed when the helicopter had problems dragging him. At least when he grabbed on to something you had an argument for his superhero strength but when his feet are dragging its just a matter of simple Physics.

Well Ross totally helped by not changing course when new evidence came in....because of an agenda, which is Cap's exact warning. Cross that with the closing statements in his letter about believing in individuals and it all makes sense.

yea they didn't have time but sending them on a "bad/wrong" mission would have helped the argument
that is one of the killer angles for cap, especially being cap
preventing them from acting is one thing. forcing them to do something bad is another

Bingo. And he says two things:
"What if they send us somewhere we shouldn't go? And what if they don't send us somewhere we should?"
That second one is exactly the tension in the film.

i guess for drama you can't make one side THAT much stronger than the other

I think Stark's point was more that intervention was coming regardless. They couldn't fight their enemies and the government.

Stark's point was one the Avenger's core purposes is to police the other super powered beings and well as any other illicit power.
He's question (really over his guilt of Ultron), is who polices him? Who polices them? I don't think his goal was communistic (though the UN angle made it appear so). I think his goal was equally American - balance of power with checks and balances.
The beauty is BOTH Steve and Tony were right and striving to protect American values.
Steve: value of the individual's autonomy
Tony: value of checks and balances and not wanting to rule as a monarchy

Black Widow deserves her own movie
Disagree. Black Widow and Hawkeye don't really do much for me. Probably the two least interesting characters in the Avenger movies.

I thought this summed up Steve's stance perfectly.
Another powerful moment was when it looked like Steve was willing to try and find a compromise and Tony let it slip that they had Wanda confined to the Avengers facility and Tony said something along the lines of "It's for her protection" and Steve immediately responded with "It's internment".

Captain America embodies the old ideas of American freedom. Not willing to give up personal liberties for the sake of the greater security.
Tony Stark represents the post 9/11 ideals of American freedom. Willing to give up some personal liberties for the sake of more security.
Of course, I identified with Captain America but interestingly my son identified with Tony Stark.
The best part of the movie was the sheeple super heros like Ant Man and Spiderman. Did not really understand the large narrative, but chose a side based on their idol worship of Captain America or Ironman.
