I've said this before, but will reiterate:
DC: are geniuses because they are superheroes.
Marvel: are superheroes because they are geniuses.
That's the difference. Marvel characters aren't born superheroes (except X-men), they get their powers through scientific accidents or prowess.
DC's heroes are perfect from the start.

What Iron Man and what Batman are we referencing? Most people’s knowledge of Iron Man seems limited to the MCU movies. If we are using those to judge Iron Man, then we have to use Batman from the DCU and Batman from the DCU sucks arse. Robbie D > Ben all day long. Ben’s Bat just sucks so hard that Iron Man wins every category.

Stark synthesized an element and stabilized it so as to power his Arc reactor. The fact that he was able to create a new element and then make it usable would be known as one of the greatest scientific accomplishments in the history of science.

Batman delegates to Fox, not because he can't do the engineering and r&d himself, but because delegating allows him to focus in other aspects such as detective work.
Remember he fixed the autopilot bugs in the batplane thing that fox couldn't in Dark Knight Rises.
