I would say they did the same for SC. It did get a second season and the ratings got progressively worse.

Not surprising given that they moved its air time/day at least twice, finally moving it to television purgatory: Friday night.

Not saying it would have ever caught on, but it was a damn good show. I wish PsyFy or USA would have picked it up--seemed like it belonged there more than Fox.

I really like The War at Home. The daughter was hot.

"Action" was great. It would be a huge success if it was on air today instead of 1999. I agree with most of the others mentioned except "Firefly". All Joss Whedon shows are either extremely overrated (BtVS) or outright sucks balls (Angel, Firefly, Dollhouse).

Futurama was off the air before American dad was even thought up. It was off by 2003

great show, as was Reaper, that actor just can't get a break. But as far as this thread goes, the two honorable mentions are really the top two shows in this category. Arrested Development was great, but has been discussed ad nauseum here. I think too many people have not seen the greatness that was 'The Tick'.

Summer Glau as River on Firefly was one of he best acted characters I have ever seen. One moment she was a normal little girl and the next she was batshit crazy.

the casting was brilliant; inara, jayne, mal, the pilot, the mechanic...

and the switch to mandarin chinese when they got angry or were cussing each other out was inspired.

Firefly without a doubt if it was on fox.

They did a really poor job advertising it. I wasn't even aware of it till Serenity came out.

There was a ton of material for them to do on this. I wonder if there was any thought of bringing it back after the movie did well...

Firefly was so criminally mishandled that they managed to mess the pilot episode up. They aired the second episode first. Good job, Fox.

Has anyone watched David Cross' rant on the handling of Arrested Development? Good times.

I got into "The Inside" but it didnt make the cut.

I thought it was well done, Fringe reminds me of it a bit, sans the sci-fi
