Borat 2 - Reportedly on the way

Last month, we noticed social media reports about Sacha Baron Cohen shooting something in Los Angeles as one of his most beloved characters, and today Collider can exclusively report that Borat 2 has already been shot and even screened for a select few industry types.

It’s unclear who is paying for the sequel, but it wouldn’t surprise us if Borat 2 was being financed by a deep-pocketed streamer. After all, 20th Century Fox released the first film, but the Disney-owned studio is unlikely to be prioritizing R-rated comedies in the midst of the pandemic. The film was based on pre-existing IP created by Cohen, so it’s also possible that he has retained ownership over the character and is free to do with it as he pleases.

Very nice
But this will have to be much more scripted this time around right ?
Everyone thought he was being serious the first time around now everyone knows who Borat is

A true comedic genius. Can't wait to see it.
I watched Bruno a few weeks ago, and it's insane some of the stuff he gets away with without getting his arse beat.

Yea I can imagine it was pretty hard to get it done. Probably had to scrap a few bits that were spoiled by people knowing who he was.

I agree. Seems like everyone now knows the Borat and Bruno characters, because these two characters are his best, IMHO.

Rumor is he was Rod Blagojevich the whole time.

Dude was taking his life in his hands getting gay with the rednecks on the camping trip.

ETA: Damnit, beat me too it. I'll downvote myself for this one.

I'm sure it will suck as bad as the first one.

I won’t watch this because he’s been making fun of red blooded American patriots

Oh great. I wonder whose balls he'll sniff this time.

“But is it not a problem that a woman have a smaller brain than a man?”
Borat doesn’t care who he triggers.

Yep.
And him at that swingers party is one of the funniest scenes in cinematic history.

can't really blame him for going after soft targets. guys who self identify as red blooded American patriots usually take themselves way too seriously and are fun to eff with.

The first time I saw Borat was when I was home for Christmas break in Mississippi. I was watching it on a DVD and was confused as hell when the "Breaking News" part came up on the screen. It was my local news channel.
