If you recall, Nucky wanted to handle it differently, but Owen said he only wanted to take the Treasury agent with him because he was better off using patience than muscle in this case, or something along those lines.

I think anyone who's waiting to see what comes from this Luciano/Lansky/Joe the Boss alliance, and how it might impact Rothstein's allegiances may be in for a few surprises...

I loved watching Gaston go from shitting his pants to that "easiest money ever made" look.

Yeah, it's pretty clear that Nucky didn't expect anything between Maggie/Owen until after he saw her react to the body. That affair would be the only reason to send his best man on a suicide mission. And even if he did know before, I don't think that he's in the position right now to off Owen. He's needs all the manpower he can get.

Did anyone think back to this when the box was sitting in the hallway? I sure did.

Absolutely. Had this very convo with a friend earlier today at work.

Hey I've got an idea... let's off the second best character on the show and not even show how he was killed....

This show is wearing me thin...I love BWE so much it pisses me off how they're wasting the potential of how great this show could be....I don't give a frick about Margret's diaphragm....It's like they avoid character depth and action for mundane dialogue and pointless story lines....

There is such a thing as too many story arcs...

God Damnit...I mean Chalky has 1/9th of the screen time he should have...Capone is treated like an after thought...

It's like they're trying to pack too much into one show...Chicago should have it's own fricking show...

Every.Single.Episode is a build up episode...ohh and the previews are great......

I swear to god If Harrow dies...I'm out...

/Rant

quit whining. the box scene loses its effect if they show owen getting killed.

This is probably getting too particular with my opinion, but instead of the boardwalk bombing why didn't Gyp just send a bomb in a box to Nucky's house? Looks like they've got perfectly fine 24 hr service in Atlantic City.

Also, I liked the Owen character, but he was overrated. In 2 seasons, how many people did he kill? He's got more sex scenes than kill scenes in this series. No where near a Capone or Harrow, imho.

Gyp knew Nucky was going to be at the boardwalk.

I wasn't a huge fan of Owen either...

Great episode. Hate to see Owen go but they did it well. I guess the agent got offed as well? I am very interested to see if Nucky ever gets wind that it was Lucky that tipped them off.

His goal was to kill them all like he promised joe, not just nucky.

I'd like to see a Means Rothstein conversation. It would be the most eloquent, metaphor laden conversation of all time.

blowing up a public place is a lot less obvious than blowing up his house. plus his house has men watching it
