I don't think he was literally stuck in a room either.
However, the show is obviously saying metaphorically he was stuck INSIDE his room.

I think the special is supposed to be from the perspective of someone literally trapped in the room for a year straight. But obviously in real life he wasn't stuck in there unable to leave.

Given his resources, his panic attack history that caused him to stop performing live, and likely his general disposition on life I could definitely see him being one of the ones who legit never left their house during this whole thing

Just finished my 3rd(start to finish) go of it.
Clearly there is room for nuanced takes on it but who in the world doesn’t find it highly entertaining?
It’s objectively, good. Simply observing the guy attempt to produce this thing is entertaining.

It’s satirical witty performance art more than it is traditional comedy but it’s well done and I think brilliant and hilarious.

"All Eyes On Me" is actually a great stand-alone pop song. Hard to think it's by a comedian and the subject matter about it dealing with his anxiety while still trying to put on a good face and hype up the crowd really sums up why he took five years off for his mental health.
If this was sung by anyone other than a comedian it would be on the top pop charts.

It’s brilliant, no doubt. One of the best things I’ve seen on Netflix ever. And I watch a lot of comedy

So I’m off today and decided to watch this again. Just finished it, and although this is the third or fourth time I’ve watched it (along with watching several of the bits numerous times on YouTube), it’s still as good as it was when I first saw it, if not better actually.
I think I said it before in the thread, this isn’t his funniest special or even my favorite (although it may end up being my favorite), but it’s far and away the best and most sophisticated thing Bo has ever done. And after seeing it again, it’s not really close IMO. The production of it amazes me more each time I watch it. This dude is a legit entertainment genius, and it’s on full display all throughout this special. Genius. Brilliant. Incredible. Etc. There aren’t enough adjectives to properly describe just how good Inside truly is. It’s a masterpiece and may very well end up being Bo’s magnum opus.
