I think the end sets it up for M'Baku to be King/BP moving forward and Shuri will go back to doing what she is good at. Of course eventually young T'Challa will take up the mantle when he is older.

I def think they’re setting up for a large portion of the MCU to be recast after Secret Wars

She made the most sense as a lead for this movie. The heartbroken sister mad at the world thing worked. Namor as a protagonist just focused her anger. I don't know what kind of story they could have told other than this one, without recasting T'Challa. It was a decent movie and a fitting goodbye to Chadwick.

The meh reaction by the marvel jock sniffers in this thread tells us all we need to know. This is a don't waste 60 dollars at the theater kind of movie. Pretty damn obvious.

Oh look the thread police. Don't be a dick because you feel you need to defend the movie. Some people just want to read opinions and spoilers in here.

I went ahead and read Wikipedia summary since I’m done with the MCU. Sounds awful and even more illogical than the first one.

I say Endgame was a good stopping point

Infinity War/Endgame is cinematic event that will likely never be repeated again.

Marvel will push out some hits here and there, but it's diminishing returns at this point.

I haven't seen a Marvel film since the second Spiderman movie. I own the new Spiderman, but I haven't watched it yet.

It was good but not nearly as great as the first one. That’s a hard act to follow.

And while it ain’t a big deal. Not a single Avenger or hero present for T’challa funeral bugged me. Certainly they could have got a few of these actors to shoot something small in order to make it appear they were there.

Movie felt on par with a lot of the first solo outings like Thor, Dr. Strange, etc

Just laughable that people consider it to be one of the best superhero movies of all time.

It was good, just not what people are making it out to be, and why I have no desire to see the second one.

Except all the people that have actually seen it - critics and audience alike are saying that it is a good movie. Seems like the people in here bashing it are mostly people bragging that they haven't seen it.

I haven't seen it yet, so I'm going to reserve judgment. But I will check it out.

It was better than I expected it to be but way too long. The well acted scenes were notable and the tributes to Chadwick were nice.

I have to give myself time to assess my feelings on this version of Namor and his people. I get that Marvel was in a bit of a bind with Aquaman being popular and so similar to Namor but it’s definitely a different take. I do think they captured his spirit of the character.

I doubt I’ll watch it again but it wasn’t terrible.

That's another small gripe I have about the film. Not enough M'Baku. And the M'baku we DO get is a little more of a caricature than the last movie. His humor in the first film was great because it was from a more serious, fierce character and was a nice change up. They seem to have made that "lightness" his central character now and I think it's a small misstep- but once again not enough to ruin it. I would like fierce and serious as a default for him. But no biggie. Didn't really like the "Midnight Angel" armor story either. Too much going on. I'll need a rewatch I suppose.

I saw the Wakanda Forever and really liked it a lot. There were a few misses, but overall, I thought it was really good. I also enjoyed Spiderman No Way Home. Thor, Love and Thunder, not so much. Dr. Strange 2 I liked kind of. There were some really moving moments as well.
