Fell asleep during the first half... now I'm sitting outside waiting for everyone else to come out. I didn't catch much but from what I did see I'd give this movie a big ol' 'meh'

I don’t know about everyone else but I think I’m growing tired of marvel movies. I will go see infinity war because they have been building toward it for years. I feel like they need a year or two break after that to take a big breath and maybe come up with a couple of great movies instead of just pretty good ones.

I’m with you. I started really feeling it in GotG2, and then Thor Ragnarok was everything I was theoretically hoping for and checked all the boxes... I just wasn’t ecstatic about it though. If it had been released a few years before, I most certainly would have been.

Then TLJ put it all in perspective for me. Katheleen Kennedy is a far more incompetent producer than Kevin Fiege, but I realized that they were trying to “Marvelize” Star Wars and kind of wing it. That was the last straw. I’ll see IW Part 2, but I’m done with the MCU after that. May Redbox, but that’s really it.

Just got out. I'll just say that I overall enjoyed it. However, the pacing was off. Every actor did well. I don't understand why the blue King turned on tchalla so quickly.

What the everliving frick does The Last Jedi have to do with this movie? God damn, some of y'all need help for your obsession with that movie.

They’re trying to launch a Star Wars Expanded Universe and then run it into the ground in the same manner.

The best part was myself and all the other white comic nerds stayed in the theater for the after credit scenes. Everyone else exited out either minutes before the movie ended (I still don't understand this move) or the moment credits rolled.

white comic nerds

With all of the hand-wringing over the black audiences talking in theaters, our problem was a group of white nerds (my own people) talking loudly throughout the trailers and during the end-credits. I really didn't need to hear their Infinity War predictions shouted in Will Ferrell's non-modulation voice.

We did have one black guy who gave off a great "ha" of recognition when the Wakandan council member bitched about letting in immigrants.

It never seize to amaze me how many people walk out of a Marvel movie in theaters when the credit rolls. Like Black Panther, I understand, because it attracted a lot of people who aren't normally fans, just because how it was marketed as being the first black superhero on the big screen.

What I don't get were films like Antman or Thor 3, nobody is watching those but the true Marvel fans, so how tf the theater still empty out when the credits roll. I truly don't understand.

most of those end credits scenes aren't worth sitting through 20 minutes of credits

Most people just don't care enough to sit through the credits to see something that could be as unimportant as shawarma.

I'm glad to see them all leave. Less chance of someone shouting over the scene.

And thanks to that manager at the midnight premiere of Iron Man at the AMC who shouted to the crowds as we filed out, "THERE'S ANOTHER BIG SCENE AFTER THE CREDITS!"
I'd have been bummed if my young son and I had missed out on that first mention of the Avengers.

Another good part from last night was seeing the Stan Lee cameo and hearing about 3-4 whispers of "who's that?" from the audience.
