Got my tix for tonight. Let's see if this lives up to all the hype.

Thought it was ok. Can't decide if I was too hyped, or if it was just a bit too political for me (and I pretty much never say that).
I will say that Michael B Jordan blows everyone off the screen in every damn scene he's in. That dude is an absolute movie star (and holy yolked as frick), and the main Black Panther dude can't hold a candle to him.

My buddy caught an early screening and he said the same thing. He said critics are being ridiculous. It's a decent film with some really bad CGI. Would you agree?

A buddy of mine caught an advance showing and said exactly the same thing. That said, I still plan on going to see it. It's got some first-rate actors in it.

Really interested to see where his career heads.. He's got the skill to be all over the map in movies, I just hope he keeps expanding his roles

He’ll always be Vince Howard to me
Posted on 2/15/18 at 2:16 pm to Fus0623
How can he be Vince Howard when Wallace was Vince Howard?

I wanted to go see it, but these more enlightened "woke" white folks think I should stay away....

White people, or yellow people, are the only people that can be impartial about this movie. The black folks won't be for sure.

How do you carefully not but tickets?

If Tyler Baines Cadbury and Emily Lakdawalla want to exercise their white guilt, then go ahead. Don’t enforce it on the rest of us.

If these people are serious this is the saddest most ridiculous thing I ever read. What a couple of total fricking idiots.

This is a genius plan . All white folk wait till next week. This movie would make only $3.50

I think this Tyler fellow may be a big troll.

I don't get the hyperbolic hysteria surrounding this movie.
It's a comic-book movie.
It's not Roots.
There was no Wakanda...there is no Zamunda...it's a fantasy superhero movie like all superhero movies.
Why is there some weird cult forming around this movie like it is revealing some ancient truth?
And they have GoFundMe drives for Joe public to pay for kids to go see this movie like it's some PBS doc that will educate them?
We seriously needed a Gofundme campaign to see a comic-book movie? This is the most pressing needs in society?
