I suspect it may be my neighbor. He seems really nice, but he's really a dick; the type of guy who makes you eat people to absorb their powers.

I don’t get the negativity. It’s hard to see how people wouldn’t enjoy this movie.

Because it wasn’t that great. I’ve loved damn near every Marvel film and I fell asleep before the second act. It got better after that but they could have cut the first 25 minutes and you wouldn’t have missed much.

They should have started with the South Korean scene and went from there

Finding some type of cultural significance in a comic book movie set in a fictional place is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen.

I cannot possibly agreehere more. It's the definition of bizarre. The whole mood surrounding this movie is just bizarre.

I love Star Wars but it's not like I'm pretending my ancestors are or were Jedi because the people in the movie were white. And me and my friends don't laud the move as some celebration of white culture.

Saw the movie last night.

Am I the only person that thought this movie sucked?

I thought it was good, but wouldn't put it at the top for Marvel. The segway between second and third act was much too fast, I thought it needed a good 30 minute window to show a rising internal tension with Wakandas supporting/rejecting the new ruler.

I also did not find the Killmonger villain to be anything special. He needed more exposition to help develop his character, I feel like we didn't get nearly enough of him on-screen.

So you guys are saying it's not the greatest movie of all time with a 98% rating?

Over the top. This board hated TLJ for a multitude of reasons but probably mostly Bc of the feminist push. And yet when I saw it at the theater, before ever reading a review here, I was entertained. I liked it, for the most part.

I’m looking forward to seeing Black Panther, but it is downright strange and sad that a comic book movie is a rallying point, as if North Baton Rouge or New Orleans East would be like Wakanda if not for evil white folk.

TLJ was silly. Black Panther is significantly better.

The music was really unique. A lot of tribal switching to hip hop / rap beats in the next scene. I’ll listen to the soundtrack next week because it was a different mix.

So, it happens during Civil War? That’s a weird timeline.

No. That's just where it starts. The jumping off point with the death of the leader.
