I am willing to give this a shot when it comes out on streaming since it would eventually tie into Shazam which was surprisingly a fun watch. It's not like the current Marvel phase is pumping out great content.

People making fun of this scene are morons. This moment humanized Clark in Bruce’s eyes. Clark went from a dangerous alien to a somewhat human dude trying to protect his mother. You don’t have to do a lot of math to realize how this might affect Bruce. But go off.

Truth is there are several reasons that I think this will tank:
1) He can’t really act that well. Blasphemous to some, but he is one character over and over with some decent comedic timing. He was awful as the ScorpionK King and as Hercules.
2) Black Adam is honestly an ancillary character/villain that while great in his own right as a character is not one that holds its own as the lead of a film.
3) This movie was made to please Dwayne Johnson and to pander. The character was also changed to try and make it more of a hero than he really is in the comics to help push a narrative.
All of these things lead to a weakening of the story/film likely, but I may give it a chance after seeing actual reviews from the audiences.
Also, the trailer made it look like garbage, so not sure if that will help or hurt things.

i thought i would watch this movie, but after watching the commercials and teasers its another stupid poorly directed movie trying to be funny when its not. it reminds me of how thor went right off a cliff with that BS to become unwatchable

I take nothing from critic reviews. They are consistently out of touch with regular people.
Captain Marvel has always been my favorite superhero after Batman, so I'm looking forward to seeing this film and deciding for myself. I hope it is at least better than WW84 and sets up a future conflict between Black Adam and Captain Marvel.

Now do marvel where the smartest man alive makes universe altering choices based on petty and childish reasons. Or where a hero willing to kill his GF to save the universe also condemns the universe to obliteration because that GF might now be dead. Or you know the dozens of other stupid plot devices and decisions that happen in the MCU.
