I saw it last night. This movie is begging for a Mr. Plinkett review.

It's a barely coherent boring slog of a film whose only saving grace is the final 45 minutes. Everything leading up to the finale is a disfunctional mess

I don't understand how anyone at Warner Bros though this was a good movie. It was all over the place. The dialogue was almost as bad as Man of Steel. Too many damn dream sequences. The whole, I'm gonna kill you....oh wait let's be best buds turnaround was asinine. The introduction of the Justice League was obviously just thrown in. Doomsday was terribly made and underused. Wonder Woman, Jeremy Iron's Alfred, and Affleck as batman was the only thing that kept this 3 hour abortion half arse afloat.

Spoiler Free Review: It is joyless, heartless, and one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It makes Man of Steel look like Citizen Kane. I'll go even further and say that it is the worst Batman film ever made. That's right, Batman & Robin is superior to it.

Hyperbole much? I'm pretty sure it's not the worst film you've ever seen.

yeah I have trouble taking your review seriously when you put it in the company of batman and robin. I don't believe its possible that this is that bad. I guess we'll see.

Ultimate Cut

Maybe, but it would have to be some deletion and addition to make it a better structured and more cohesive film.

Think of it this way. The story gets from A to Z, with a number of major "set pieces" along the way. So far, so good. The problem is really the threads that tie the set pieces together...they are not always taunt, nor direct, which causes the story to wander or become muddled at times.

For Ultimate Cut to really improve the film as a film (as opposed to a cinematic experience - which I think it already does with success), it would need to take care of those issues, and I don't know if Snyder has that in him.

It doesn't have the ridiculous characters from Batman and Robin, nor the ridiculous costumes or set design or ridiculous story.

It's just poorly paced and edited. You could pick the two movies apart and honestly say, "Batman and Robin flowed better and was more of a complete and traditional film." That's about it.

That's mostly what you'll get in the BvS threads right now. Everything is the worst ever.

I'm glad that Luthor isn't a gimmick based character. As much as I didn't like Eisenberg, he'd have been much worse with ice or fire or egg puns.

It seems he's super divisive? Even some bad reviews have praised him, while some positive reviews have said he's awful. That's weird. (Note: I'm still attempting to stay away from spoilers, so I haven't read many).

I really liked him. He actually has some personality in an otherwise lifeless film.

It's because he didn't actually play Lex Luthor. He played the spoiled version of the founder of Facebook dipped in Joker/Riddler juice.

Casting Bryan Cranston in that role and rewriting the character would have been a grand slam of a villain.

It's a shame that he already did Ant Man because Corey Stoll is a slam dunk as Luthor

I don't know if it's a generational thing or what. At times he was like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. Glad some people enjoyed him.

That's what you get with any fanboy review thread.

Greatest movie of all time!

Worst movies I've ever seen!

There's a reason they pay certain people to review movies.

Except that instead of having a few movie reviewers, we have a thousand. I bet Richard Roeper is sick of introducing himself to people and their response being, "Oh yeah? My kid's a film critic too!"
