The perfect quote to basically say : "Just go see the movie and give me money anyways".

No, I won't give your movie my time and money Amy Adams, and for some odd reason, I don't think you'll end up on welfare if I don't.

No, I'm just smarter and wiser. I'll spend the money on something more useful and entertaining.

I'm not living forever, and time is money/opportunity.

How can one movie cause so much anger? Especially considering the majority of you haven't even watched the movie.

Audience score is now beginning to drop, into the 70s now, I expect it to drop significantly now that the "pre-release reviews" (which are probably mostly paid/fake) are being countered with reality.

As a random aside, I really hate the writing at ComicBookMovie.com these days.

It's become such a spoiler ridden puff piece factory.

Also, they have a bad habit of ignoring reality and insert sentences like this into their work.

quote:

It's hard to remember the last comic book movie where critics took such delight in spitefully tearing it to shreds in the same way they have with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

2:1 in favor of bad after over 150 reviews.

I just want the spectacle now.

Because. They fricked it up. This was a very important movie and they fricking blew it. It doesn't matter if I like the movie or not. The majority will hate it. Can I say this with 100% certainty? No. But the writing is on the wall.

Oh, I can definitely see how.

A lot of people here are DC comic fans, and it kills them that Marvel has done such a better job of translating its product to the screen.

Actually this puts a ton of pressure on Civil War. Maybe more than if BvS were good.

IF, in fact, BvS is terrible (and I still don't believe it ), then Civil War is tasked with proving that the big, non-team movie can work, that the vs. concept can work, and that it can bridge the gap between being meaningful, moving the story forward, pleasing the audience, and pleasing critics, while providing a satisfying conclusion. Released in such succession, critics and audiences are going to bring the same thought process into Civil War. I think Civil War has to "be better," as ALL eyes are going to be on it to reinforce the idea that Superhero movies aren't that bad. They are going to bring the same critiques and critical eye to it.

It's not so much that Marvel is doing a better job that puts us out. It's that there is little excuse for WB/DC to be so GD bad at making their own shared DCU. They have none of the rights issues to contend with. They have major financial backing. They have a wide variety of characters that can be used for all kinds of film genres. Yet aside from a very solid Batman trilogy from Christopher Nolan, we get pure shite to average and little more.

What's worse, it often feels like the directors/writers (Nolan included) they choose to helm their projects openly hate large parts of the source material they are putting to film.
