Man that episode was dark. Wow. That was the last thing I watched before I went to bed and I had my eyes wide open for a while after that.

I read before I watched the episode that it was renewed for a 4th season but that's going to be tough to get him out of that position. I honestly didn't see the ending twist coming.

What's impressive about this show is I love it but I'm not rooting for the main character. I don't really want him to get out of his position. He definitely deserves a shitty fate.

Wrong. Barry isn't quite perfect but he's definitely the good guy in the series:

-he considered (albeit briefly) Taylor's idea of putting a hot tub at the plane ambush site, even though it wasn't a great idea. Not wanting to hurt his feelings showed Barry's empathy
-offered to take care of a "recently orphaned" girl after he thought he'd killed her dad in self defense
-helped resurrect Gene's career
-faked a foreign accent while working at Lululemon because other employees were doing it (i.e. willing to go that extra mile for an employer)
-was eager to go green by swapping out Diane's furniture with smaller furniture (smaller carbon footprint)
-spent who knows how long in line getting Mitch's Beignets to help cheer up Chris's wife. Chris died like 2 years ago and most people would just tell her to get over it.

"I killed your husband. Here's some beignets two years later. We're good now, right?"

Obviously you haven’t had Mitch’s beignets

He’s going to direct every S4 episode.

Hank is probably the only way Barry will get out of this.

I feel like the chance of anything positive happening to Barry lies with Albert, although I don’t know why Albert would help Barry considering he basically gave Barry a new lease on life and he immediately blew it. He did also witness Barry dumping that body.

I suppose there may be a way some of it can be pinned on Fuches, but regardless I trust Bill Hader to make Season 4 compelling as hell even if it’s just Barry sitting in prison the whole time.

And I loved seeing Hank finally get violent. His escape was fricking wild. Legitimately had my heart racing as that big cat was knocking down the wall.

The scene was definitely edge of your seat intense, but it also gave us the most disappointing result of the season…

Akhmal was awesome! He was a great bit character. Would’ve loved more of him as Hank’s sidekick in season 4

I think Barry ends up working with the feds for reduced sentencing to take down "The Raven," which gives him somewhat of a character redemption arc.

Hader is a genius- this is becoming one of favorite shows of all time. But damn writer producer actor director- and it’s all so excellent- he’s going to end up as one of the greats imo

Did they ever let him run anything on SNL?

I think he and Mulaney were given more leeway than others with the writing.

There's no indication that Daddy Moss is a shitty person, and Barry was just going to shoot him in the back of the head. It's been a while since I watched season 1, but I don't remember Daughter Moss being a shitty person. She was just doing her job. When you break it down, Barry thought him not going to prison was more important than them living.
