Apple TV+, is anything on there worth while?

Just recently bought a new iPhone while switching service providers and have the option for Apple TV+ free year subscription. Obviously free is free, but are there any shows/movies on there that the board can strongly recommend? How does it stack up to the Netflix/Hulu/Prime services? TIA

You can crush everything of value in a month. Not enough product at the moment to justify the cost in my opinion. Cancelled mine after the year is up, will get back on when they start adding new content more consistently

Ted Lasso is great. That's the only original show I've seen on there

Morning Show
Ted Lasso, maybe the best show from last year.
Servant is pretty good.
My wife and I are watching Trying now, it has been funny.

We also watched Wolfwalkers and thought it was really good too, just a movie though.

Foundation is coming probably this fall or late summer and looks solid.

With 2 hours a day, you can absolutely blow through all the good content in a month. And I am with you, when my year is up I will be canceling it down. I just got a notice that they extended my year another 5 or 6 months for free.

I went to check mine because I thought I cancelled it, turns out they just extended it too.

I'm guessing the pandemic killed their production backlog and they were planning on having more content by now.

Pickings are slim, but everything I've seen has been decent or better. I hope they get a more robust catalog soon.

Ted Lasso is one of the best, if not the best, shows I watched last year.

I enjoyed The Morning Show, For All Mankind, and Mythic Quest. Greyhound was a solid flick.

Same...will cancel my free year this Friday. Only a handful of things I was interested in.

all the ones listed, plus:

Tehran
Truth Be Told (it's not near the quality as the others, but hell we enjoyed it. Octavia Spencer and Jessie Pinkman)

I’m in same boat, don’t forget to set a reminder (or two) to cancel before it resubs next year!

As others have said, Ted Lasso was awesome.

We just started Tehran based on some recommendations here.

I plan to watch greyhound at some point.

Nothing else has grabbed our attention yet.

Servant and losing Alice are great psychological thrillers.

Really enjoyed this.

Mythic Quest.

Started last night. Lots of SJW themes, but it’s a gaming show so it’s to be expected in the modern climate.

Still really enjoying through 4 episodes.
