Every actor in a hit show has had that problem.

Just ask Tina Louise.

Julia Louis Dreyfus
every time i see her i think of this picture that ran in Entertainment Weekly back in the early 90s:

strangely enough i also think of this picture every time i pass by the citrus section in the produce department of my local Publix

Seems to me that's the mark of a good actor. You're locked into them as one character, then they show up as another and wham! You've shifted your reality.

Willow (BTVS) became Lilly (HIMYM)

Fred (Angel) became... Illyria (Angel)

they really made him not likeable in "Nobody wants this" but I couldn't help but enjoy his character.

Sam Richardson's rant at the end of Mike and Dave need wedding dates was hilarious. Can't find it though.

Julia and everyone else in that show was outstanding. Lots of laughs from very sharp humor…

Before Sheriff Andy, A Face in the Crowd

quote:

Ambitious young radio producer Marcia Jeffries (Patricia Neal) finds a charming rogue named Larry "Lonesome" Rhodes (Andy Griffith) in an Arkansas drunk tank and puts him on the air. But the increasingly petulant star's ego, arrogance and womanizing threaten his rise to the top.

Before all that she was in Christmas Vacation. That is how I remember her first.

Around that same time she played essentially the same character in a short lived sitcom called Day by Day, costarring with Thora Birch and Courtney Thorne Smith.

Fun fact: her son played basketball for Northwestern ( the one in Chicago, not the one in Natchitoches).

Another fun fact: her half sister played a waitress in nine episodes, including The Pledge Drive where she gives George the finger.

My big one is David Duchovny going from Fox Mulder to Hank Moody.

Completely different characters, yet he pulled them off.
