The whole Comanches being friendly and trading with whites is extremely inaccurate. It’s well documented that among all other tribes, the Comanches were the some of the most violent and refused to cooperate with the whites and other tribes.
His mention of Quannah Parker was accurate. But generally speaking, the Comanches were not really a tribe that was fun to work with.

Yes as the settlers move west and claim more of their territory.

I have more of an issue with Sam saying he had to stay and help his people fight for their land when in 1883 the Comanche were only living on a reservation. Quanah Parker a decade earlier surrendered and with the remaining few thousand Comanche left moved to the reservation at Fort Sill. So Comanche were not still roaming the plains and attacking people.
There may have been a few Comanche running rogue with bandits and whatnot but for the most part they were little worry on the plains.

That last episode…….man……the ending with them saying goodbye was nearly enough for me to quit watching
Elsa is just awful. The monologues, the character, all of it. She’s so bad I’m starting to not even be attracted to her which is bad bc she’s a smoke show
I tried not to be to hard on Sheridan’s acting last week but my god……thankfully that seems to be over
I’ll give it another shot next week but if it’s more of the same idk how long I’ll keep paying $7 a month to watch

That was wild. It took like 2 days for Elsa Dutton to get to same level of Indian as it took John Dunbar many months to get to in Dances with Wolves.
Bitch was conversing in perfect Comanche in 48 hours.
Possibly more impressive than the Germans that couldn’t speak English in Fort Worth, all of a sudden had an opinion after a few days on the trail.

Ep 9 dropped...
We get to see how the opening scene of Ep 1 played out after Elsa was shot with an arrow.
We also have a pretty good idea how the ranch "Yellowstone" will get its name.
Good Episode.

Really good episode. Best of the series IMO. I don’t see this going more than 2 seasons though.

I liked the episode and find homage that Elsa is coming to grips that her actions as wild as they have been come with consequences and she accepts her fate.
Overall a very good episode.

Not sure if the cook is a good guy or a bad guy.
He’s clearly the only person there who knows how to survive on one of these trips. Keeps clear or ahead of tornados, Indians, and bandits. Have to respect that.
But the cook is clearly out just for himself. He’s going to protect himself and his wagon first and foremost.

****SPOLIERS****
Upon realizing his daughter would die from the arrow, Dutton told his wife the they will make home at the place that Elsa dies so she can be buried with her family instead of a grave on the trail.
Well, since Elsa has Yellow hair, it seems pretty obvious what the ranch will be named when she dies presumably in Montana.

I almost wrote a post a couple of days ago because I couldn't figure out why she was in her dress when it happened. She had put on jeans, chaps, and an Indian vest and I didn't see her going back, at least on the trail. I got my answer.

So there is no way she lives? They can’t do anything for infections in 1883?
Posted on 2/20/22 at 5:30 pm to dallastiger55
If the arrow nicked her liver, she’d prob have some significant internal bleeding on top of possible infection.
ETA: was this the finale or is there an episode 10?

Same. I'm a sucker for "modern westerns" too. The Elsa stuff is just killing me.

So, is this the season finale? How many episodes are there?
Edit***
There’s at least one more

So is that the stone that John always goes to think and is important to him?

I'm trying so hard to stay locked in. The story has so much potential.
I'm easily entertained but the blond hair and brown eyebrows, the Dances with Wolves bullshite, and the laziness on the historical stuff has me not wanting to continue. Its a show written for historical retards and those that ignore the obvious... and hair colorings. I've watched all 9 episodes but I'm not proud of it.

***Spoiler:
It makes you really hate those Lakota Indians for committing that atrocity, but I guess there was no way for the immigrants to communicate they didn’t do it until it was too late.
The immigrant lady’s scalping and death scene was terribly hard to watch. If I were that guy that shot her, I’d never forget that image
