1883 started today (season long thread, spoilers)

Just finished ep1. It’s got great potential. I don’t wanna say anything about it since it just premiered.

Have all the episodes for season 1 been released?

Faith hill is not the one that y’all are going to be interested in. FYI.

But really it’s pretty damn good. Sam Elliot is typical Sam Elliot. Legendary. Should be another damn good Sheridan series.

How necessary is it to work through seasons 3 and 4 of Yellowstone before watching? Is it pretty independent from the main series (so long as you recognize some principle names)?

Trying to decide when I want to start the Paramount scrip to watch this and the Sooth Park mini movies

None what so ever. This is a “Western”. Sort of a modern “Wagon Train”

It’s apples and oranges.

This is a western, and Yellowstone is a modern day “Dallas”.

Both are great shows, both are a little fast paced, but imo, 1883 maybe a better show.

I think they left for two reasons. One, for the opportunity to start a new life, settle new ground and two, for James to escape his haunting past.

Mississippi was mentioned for something, didn’t catch exactly what they were talking about. Obviously they are from the South, because he fought for the South in the Civil War.

Is that Faith Hill’s real sister?

If not, good job of casting. She really could be her bitchier older sister.

Hell of a first 2 episodes.
The production level of this show seems really high.
Everyone must want a piece of the Taylor Sheridan train.

It’s a prequel so no need to have any Yellowstone completed.
