Mookie Betts shouldn’t be let off the hook for this disaster performance even though Freddie freeman bailed him out. Ohtani was intentionally walked 5 times(counting the final four pitch walk for whatever fricking reason). A hitter like Betts should have absolutely raked with a free base runner on every time he came up to bat.

Instead he went 1-7. That’s crazy to me.

Probably the worst game of his career. Unbelievably poor performance

Between him and Pages at the nine hole, they’ve got to find a way make Ohtanis bats more valuable.

It’s 1 game. Sometimes guys go 2 for 19 in the WS. Betts will rebound

not to take anything away from Klein, but they didn't have to face 4 starters after the 10th inning I think because Springer got hurt and they replaced 4 different guys with pinch runners.

I was only half-assed watching through most of the extra innings until about the 17th....but I kept noticing that it seemed like every inning I would check the progress it always seemed like Toronto had the arse-end of the order up

Re>Betts, the greatest position player who ever lived IMO, Willie H. Mays, had issues in the postseason, his slugging average in 33 postseason games was a whopping .325. Caca happens in the postseason, you get hot and cold. With the Blue Jays probably pitching around Ohtani the rest of the series, if Betts wakes up and plays like the Hall of Famer he’s destined to be and makes them pay, this will end in LA.

Random thought on a Tuesday morning: I’m not a Dodger fan in any shape, form or fashion, but there’s something about this Toronto team that I don’t like and I hope LA buries them the rest of the way.

It has zero to do with them being from Canada and I have zero animus against any individual on their roster or coaching staff, so I can’t put my finger on any specific reason, but I just don’t like them. Sometimes there is no specific reason, you just don’t like someone or something. Is what it is.

Are you an LSU fan? I think their manager kinda looks like that douchebag from Coastal Carolina. Maybe that's it

Can we talk about how long-winded and dumb the Verducci postgame interview with Shohei and his translator was? They looked at that dude like he was speaking in ancient Hebrew.

I've come to terms that the translator is Sho's way of trolling the media. He speaks English with teammates in the dugout.

Which I totally get. Verducci could have and should have asked better questions. It was verbose.

Shohei: i just need to get some sleep

My friend who lived in Japan for a few years had an interesting take on this... It is a national pride thing for important Japanese people to speak their native language in public. Speaking in English is disrespectful, I guess.

Blue jays were practically fielding a minor league squad for almost the entirety of extra innings.

Kirk, bichette, springer and barger were all watching from the dugout and it took 9 innings for the dodgers to put them away.

Dodgers offense has some major issues

I'm glad I decided to go to bed after the 11th. When Toronto sent the dude from 1st to home, that was a huge mistake. It wasn't even close at the plate. You have to stop him at 3rd and have runners on 2nd and 3rd with Vlad at the plate.

Vladdy would’ve been walked and they would have had IKF at the plate, but it was a terrible send regardless. He was probably halfway down the baseline when the throw got there
