Dame was out for Portland, plus others.
Russ had Covid and a bad leg for HOU.
Bam and dragic both missed games for MIA

Dame definitely played in the Bubble. Russ played as well. I do remember Dragic getting hurt.

Obviously everyone being fully healthy is an exaggeration. But imo these teams were as healthy as they were going to get. In a typical playoffs, players are already banged up from an 82 game season.

They didn't have to worry about that this time. They were fresh and ready to go.

Ideally, yea everyone would be ready to go. But when you get Covid and have to miss the training camp and then get hurt right after... you get what we saw out of russ. An all time terrible perofrmance.

You really think a healthy russ makes a difference in that series when the Lakers couldn't miss from 3?

with a healthy russ you can’t double harden. And you see what Hardwn does when he is guarded by one man. That’s the gist of it.

The rest of the league had a meeting to quit. No one wanted to be there.
Everyone except for Kristaps Porzingis, who went for 20 points, 8.9 rebounds, and made 85% of his free throws, in the bubble.

I think it’s a ridiculous take that the bubble championship shouldn’t be recognized. It’s not LeBron’s fault what happened to the season, he won the only championship available

I'm an Alabama grad so I don't believe in championship asterisks.

At minimum needs a big fat asterisk by it, no?

Did everyone else play under different circumstances? If not, why would it have an asterisk?

What did Lebron gain by having the Bubble? They were the favorite to win the title before the Bubble, nothing changed to make them any more likely to win the title as a result of the Bubble.

It was quite literally a Mickey Mouse championship. Not to mention the NBA was more interested in social justice than basketball at that time.

That championship doesn’t mean shite.

How was it at all tougher than a regular playoff series? Zero travel. Zero disadvantage being on an opponents court..

Uh...I think the point would be that regardless who won, there would be an asterisk.
