WHY ON EARTH Does the Media Believe the Latest Cover-Up (We Never Saw the Video)

At exactly what point has the NFL proven that it can be trustworthy with this? Or with anything lately for that matter? I heard these exact words this morning: "The NFL now says they haven't seen the video and I believe them because there would be no reason to lie." Are you FREAKING KIDDING ME?
And you're going to give them a free pass on the fact that they never even tried to see the video (if, as the media wants you to believe, they never saw it)? How hard was it to get that video?
Roger Goodell collected "50,000 pages of evidence" that proved that the Saints ran a bounty system (which the media told us was also UNQUESTIONABLY true), but we're supposed to believe that he couldn't get his hands on a casino surveillance video.
We live in a world where TMZ is more trustworthy than the NFL. God help us.

I'm certain they saw it.

Most are calling Goddell out, except for the usual dipshits like M&M.

There's no doubt the NFL saw the tape. Has Peter King chimed in yet?

Most organisms in symbiotic relationships don't try to kill each other.
What motivation does ESPN, Fox, CBS or NBC have to tarnish the NFL's image? They all broadcast games and are out to protect the shield at any reasonable cost.

the Media Believe
the media doesn't "believe" that the NFL didn't see the video
1. the NFL and its teams will do whatever it can to lock out whatever reporter pushes the issue too far
2. the overall market loves football so much that it doesn't want the NFL to be attacked...and the NFL knows it

It was so funny watching NFLN yesterday.it was all about Ray Rice being a scumbag. Not even a hint of questioning if the league saw the video. Hilarious

Stop watching these fricking taking heads. They exist to promote the NFL.
Stop watching ESPN. Stop watching NFLN. If you want to watch the games, maybe, but asp participating with the obvious propaganda campaigns

I'm sure there's a bit of pressure to cool it with calling out the league.

Every NFL post on MSB
Step 1: Reference Rice
Step 2: Bounty gate
Step 3: Bounty gate
Step 4: Bounty gate
Step 5: Fire Goodell

While I'm skeptical that they didn't see it, I have no evidence that they did or didn't. Hard to get that mad about something I have no proof of.

If they saw it or didnt see it is irrelevant. If the saw it, then they are scumbags for not canning him. If they didnt see it, they chose not to because they knew it would hurt their cash cow. Either way the NFL looks like scumbags

How do we know this? Their claim is that they asked and were told no. Not that I believe it, but like I said, I have no proof either way.

mortensen was told by a source in the NFL's office, they'd seen it. He then went on to describe in detail what was on the video exactly. That's in print. That cannot be undone. Additionally, several other reporters were told they saw it. All of this shite is in print...so
1. the league lied to every reporter. without seeing the video, deliberately painted a picture that glass jaw was culpable and pressured her to a apologize at a PC for getting knocked the frick out, or
2. They saw it and they're lying, or
3. a few dozen high profile reporters all lied simultaneously that the NFL told them they saw it, with one going so far as to describe in exact detail what happened in the elevator. The NFL saw fit not to respond to this falsehood being reported in every article, despite putting them in a situation fraught with potential consequences
as far as I'm concerned, it is a matter of logistics. The NFL doesn't have plausible deniability here. They lied one way or the other, and both instances merit the immediate termination of roger goodell

that is the beauty of print
they're stuck between a rock and a hard place...they lied about one fricked up thing or the other. Either way, it also ends up with them smearing a woman who did nothing but get knocked the frick out

There is a certainly an agenda for that on this board right now

So IF they didn't see it, how did they lie? I'm not following that part but I haven't followed this closely

yeah, I think someone who uses their power and leverage to unethically and deceitfully defame others for personal/shield gain is a TPOS and needs to go
amazing how tags never found himself here. Roger did this to himself...the player conduct policy and his desire to be the sole overseer of it has put him here. good, frick him.

Right... TMZ is sooooooo trustworthy that they sat on this video and waited for football season to start so they could get maximum exposure.
Ray Rice is a piece of shite and deserves anything that happens to him, but what do you people want ?
Is the NFL supposed to just fold over this ? You don't like it? Stop watching the NFL.
