Atlanta, on its worst day, isn't even close to the shittiness that is NO and Louisiana in general. Atlanta is beautiful.
GTFOH w/that garbage.

Things no one has ever said:
“I can’t wait to visit Atlanta for the super bowl/national championship/final four”

Atlanta has hosted all 3 multiple times.
What's your point?

I like Atlanta just fine, it is a good host city, but downtown by the stadium is pretty lame.

You want to see a first class stadium? Go to Atlanta and sit in that place.

West Midtown is 5 mins.away and has a great bar and restaurant scene. My sister also lives there.

The NFL is the most powerful sports organization in the country. The NFL has chosen N.O. & the Dome to host the Super Bowl 10 times. Safe to assume the NFL is not sending its premier event to a "dump". Fortune 500 Companies make up the majority of the fans in attendance. Per press release after press release these "fans" love coming to the City & the Dome. For 10 years. L.A. has hosted 8 times. The next closest is Tampa at 5. Atlanta is not even in the top 4. Do the math. The facts speak for themselves.

Who goes to the FQ anyway? A polished turd is something unpleasant and made more appealing than it actually is. I'm living in reality pal. The Dome is a crappy, outdated, obsolete stadium. Too bad the Saints have a clown owner that has absolutely ZERO business sense, whatsoever. But she gives money to charities blah blah blah.right? Old woman is nothing more than a modern day Georgia Frontiere, who slept around to get inside the socialite scene. Again, the Superdome is a crappy stadium.

What you are doing is pretending your subjective opinion is some kind of objective fact. All you’ve done is repeat empty cliches. What’s “unappealing”but that’s totally subjective doesn’t matter anyway. Out dated and obsolete how? Because it doesn’t have ginormous “Jumbotron” or a retractable roof”? One major push for most new stadiums is luxury boxes/and club levels which while nice have zero impact on most fans. So what’s obsolete that’s making my watching a game there “worse”?
I haven’t been to the new one in Atlanta but I really didn’t find the Ga Dome bad at all. I don’t find l the viewing experience at Jerry World or NRG in Houston “better” in any significant way. Maybe the upper deck seats in NRG are a little better but that’s about it.

I don’t know her or care about her personal life but this shows you just have some kind of grudge. I judge an owner on how they run the team. She doesn’t meddle which is a big plus in my book. If she gets cheap and skimps on salary for players or coaches/front office personnel I’ll reevaluate but so far I don’t see any issues with how she’s handled things with the Saints.

Such insightful analysis

There was nothing wrong at all w/the Dome.
Like I said last night, Blank built MBS as a money grab and to get future SB's.

Since I don’t live in Atlanta I don’t know the details but pretty scandalous to me that 2 barely 20 yo stadiums were replaced. There was nothing wrong with either. I got the push to replace the dual use stadiums like Fulton County, the Astrodome Veterans Stadium etc. They were too sterile for baseball and the infield cut outs for football were a joke and dangerous.

Are you really trying to tell it was awarded the final four because of the facility? Did you see the shite show of a layout? The players sitting 2 feet below the court? The seats behind one of the goals?
WTF was that?
It's a horrible venue but seems to be grandfathered in because of history and the city itself. Its time to move on.
Are you really trying to tell me if the venue was located in Kansas City it would be getting any big events? C'mon
There's a reason every single dome built in the 70's and 80's has been torn down EXCEPT for that dump in New Orleans.
Are you menstruating babe.

Superdome is iconic… Certainly the greatest domed stadium in terms of event history. What other stadium, domed or not, can compare?

The Braves put Truist where they did b/c of it's proximity to the STH base. The team actually released a study when they announced that they were moving that showed where the majority of Braves'STH's lived, the Northern, NW, & to a lesser extent the western suburbs. So where did they put Truist? In the NW suburbs directly across the river from the Atlanta City Limits in Cobb County. The park actually has an Atlanta address.
It was a stroke of brilliance by the Braves. Nobody was coming downtown from the north part of town to see the team and fighting Atlanta traffic in the process. So put it north of the city where traffic won't be as big as a concern and 20 mins.closer to your customers. Couple that w/The Battery and the Braves have struck gold.
That, and the City of Atlanta never followed through on their promises to make improvements in the neighborhoods surrounding Turner Field. So there was that thrown into consideration.
Turner Field is now the home of Georgia State(which is right downtown) football and the GHSA high school football championship games. So it is still being used.
MBS was just a money grab by Blank. There was nothing wrong w/the Dome.
Hope that clears that up for ya.
