Why do they keep having huge sporting events at the Superdome? Such a freakin dump

As bad as it is for FB it looks like it's even worse for watching basketball.

Superdome does look like a dump. Sporting events deserve a better facility sadly the city of New Orleans doesn’t agree.

I hear ppl say the Dome is trash and sure it is dated. But have had numerous ppl tell me that Reliant in Houston is so much better and I can't see it. At least the Dome was in a way that it could be improved and upgraded.

Sure everyone would like new stadium as long as it could be plopped in the same spot as it is. It would be kind of cool if they could build it adjacent to the current spot to delay demolishing the some until near completion ( like they did for white hart Lane)
Nola is great for large sporting events because it's in walking distance to what people want to do when they're in new Orleans.
Too many new arenas get built in the burbs with nothing out there.

Last time I went there was the '20

This is the real problem. It’s not a bad venue. It’s situated in a 3rd world shithole. Glad I moved away before Katrina.
