Yeah, I was surprised at how bad it was. Looks waaaay better on TV.

That’s intentional to allow room for additional sports media. Other arenas do the same thing. You must not watch the Final Four very often.

I haven’t been in the Superdome in 30 years but (IMO) it’s hosted more sports history than any other venue in the USA.

But at least the sports media wants to go there. You sold me.

Because many people from NOLA accept mediocrity and hate change. The bulldozers and wrecking balls should've been called in after Katrina, instead of "rebuilding" it. You want to see a first class stadium? Go to Atlanta and sit in that place. Typical Louisiana. Last in everything you want to be first in, and first in everything you want to be last in. Buffalo woke up, and is finally getting a brand new home.

New Orleans can be a dangerous city, but so can Atlanta, Minneapolis, Houston, etc. It helps that the French Quarter is within walking distance of the Dome. Most other stadiums don’t have that. NOLA is a favorite destination for many fans for that reason.

This is the real problem. It’s not a bad venue. It’s situated in a 3rd world shithole. Glad I moved away before Katrina.
We’re glad you did too

Idk about y’all but the dome looked great last night.

The “granddaddy of em all” is in reference to the game not the stadium

That’s it’s, nothing to do with a broke state with many more urgent needs not spending a billion dollars on a “state of the art” stadium that will be obsolete in 20 years.
The dome is fine for it’s intended purpose, football. Basketball in football stadiums is never ideal regardless of the city.

how did that all star game in Atlanta go this past summer?

And NY isn't broke? That's a ridiculous statement. The Saints should've gotten a new stadium 25 years ago. You squirrels are fascinated with that piece of garbage that continues to be a polished turd. It's only going to get worse before better. I'm curious as to how a family of 4 can afford to have season tickets. It's not like New Orleans has high paying jobs anymore

Melt about what? It's reality. NOLA is a shite show. It's ruined, and will never ever recover.

I really don’t know or care I would think a much wealthier state than Louisiana plus the football stadium is in New Jersey

What a stupid statement. I just see no need to replace it. It’s fine for watching a FB game. What does “polished turd” even mean? You don’t like the look of it? It doesn’t have a retractable roof like the one in Houston they never use? What?
If someone wants to privately finance it like Sofi in LA they can knock themselves out but the location is great not sure if it would be feasible to build a replacement there or where else in the city that would be close to the hotels Quarter and casino like the Super Dome.

I appreciate how you were presented with facts about configurations in all stadiums for basketball and just chose to ignore it

Also, remember when the guy for Louisville snapped his leg right in front of his bench in the Elite 8? Ya they were also sitting below the court so that gruesome injury literally happened in their faces.
