Why are certain positions in the nfl predominantly one race of people or another?

So on the lines you have a mix of African Americans and whites but at others like running back and corner you have predominantly black players whereas tight end and qb you see mostly white players. Why is this? Are black people better at covering or are white guys better at blocking what gives?

Black people of the same body type are typically faster than white people of the same body type. I don’t know...

There are racial differences in muscle fiber twitching.
Africans twitch faster but weaker, and relax faster. Whites can apply more power slowly. There's a reason blacks generally can infact dance better.
Worth mentioning the differences aren't huge but they're there.

in football its more about physical then mental until you reach certain skill positions where you have to play smarter and less about brute strength and aggression

There hasn’t been a sustained starting white corner in 20 years. There have been some dudes filling in like Edelman, but starters just don’t exist. It’s a stereotype...white dudes never get the chance at corner from grade school up.

Correlation seems strong between positions that require a lot of athleticism and positions that don’t.
