TD is a great site, but I am amazed at the hate LSU fans have towards A&M. We are by far LSU’s biggest rival…too bad we don’t feel the same way

Texas A&M. Even their fight song is about Texas.

Well they play in the SEC, have won a title in baseball and , sorry, but beat Alabama thus past season in football. They've always been 2nd fiddle to Tennessee

Texas A&M’s fight song is all about Texas.

Not one line or even a stanza the entire song.

That’s pathetic.

That wouldn’t really apply. They’re not on the same level, just because both have “Ohio” in the name. Rarely play, not a rivalry. Kent State is worse athletically than Ohio U and is also an Ohio public state university.

As a Kent St alum, I take issue with this. I just want to make a correction to this post. Kent State is actually a MUCH better school athletically than Ohio U in the Big 3 sports. The only sport that Ohio is better at than Kent is football. Ohio is the most underachieving school in the MAC. Period.

Kent State is a baseball powerhouse in the MAC. CWS in 2012:
Kent State basketball power in the MAC. NCAA Elite 8 in 2002

MAC Baseball Champions just since 2000: 00, 03, 06, 08, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 23

MAC Basketball Champions since 2000: 01, 02, 03, 04, 06, 08, 10, 11, 15, 17, 23

Ohio U hasn’t won shite!!!!

Texas Fight

And it’s goodbye to A&M.
Texas Fight, Texas Fight,
And we’ll put over one more win.
Texas Fight, Texas Fight,

For it’s Texas that we love best.
Hail, Hail, The gang’s all here,
And it’s good-bye to all the rest! (YELL)

Yea Orange! Yea White!
Yea Longhorns! Fight! Fight! Fight!
Texas Fight! Texas Fight,
Yea Texas Fight!
Texas Fight! Texas Fight,
Yea Texas Fight!

The Eyes of Texas are upon you,
All the livelong day.
The Eyes of Texas are upon you,
You cannot get away.

Texas Fight, Texas Fight,
For it’s Texas that we love best.
Hail, Hail, The gang’s all here,
And it good-bye to all the rest!

Washington State deserves mention here. Washington has 76-34-6 advantage in football and a 188-111 advantage in basketball and pretty much dominates all of the other sports too.

Also, there's a really big gap in local reputations for those two schools. Washington is a well regarded academic institution in prime neighborhood in Seattle with a large endowment, great institutions, etc. Washington State is a crappy school in the middle of nowhere.

Oh and when the PAC 12 dissolved, nobody wanted them and Washington's response to ending their "rivaly" was pretty much "see ya later losers".

Auburn beat bama at home just last night

The answer is Texas A&M, Texas basically takes whatever it wants from them while beating them

Do these models and ideas exist any more in this new NIL world for CFB? Whatever schools that can pay its players the most money will be the powerhouses.

I don't think there are any more "little brothers" in CFB or other college sports. NIL has changed this "universe" and paradigm to such an extent that the former paradigm no longer exists in reality. Sure, many CFB fans will delude themselves into believing that the old paradigm still exists in some sense, but, IMHO this is part of the "self-delusion" component that makes a person a college football fan/ fanatic.

College Football no longer exists. Move on. It's semi-professional football now. The laundry that the players wear during games does not really reflect their own hearts and loyalties.

The fans are loyal to the "laundry" to a fault, but, the players have very well freed themselves from the shackles of these delusions.

To me basketball is irrelevant…football is what people really care about.

Bammer is more of a big brother to Auburn because they are the premier brand in football and the most successful program of all time. Texas does own the Aggies but they are not dominant in football like Bammer . Aggies have been out recruiting Texas until the horns got into the sec

It’s the fAggies. The fact that UT is so overrated as a program makes it even worse.
