My vote would go with Lott but it is kind of strange that we are four pages into this and you are the first person to mention a man who intercepted damn near 80 passes in the three yards and a cloud of dust era of football with 12 and 14 game seasons when hardly anyone passed for 3,000 yards in a season never mind 4,000 yards.

He switched to safety late in his career, but I'm gonna throw Rod Woodson into the mix even though he played CB for the majority of his career.
