Surprised PJ didn't say Paul Krause. White guy from the 60s, PJ's bread and butter.

Also should be an answer in here anyways that no one has said.

My vote would go with Lott but it is kind of strange that we are four pages into this and you are the first person to mention a man who intercepted damn near 80 passes in the three yards and a cloud of dust era of football with 12 and 14 game seasons when hardly anyone passed for 3,000 yards in a season never mind 4,000 yards.

Played corner back for most of his career. Now if the question was who the best defensive back was Green wins by a mile.

He switched to safety late in his career, but I'm gonna throw Rod Woodson into the mix even though he played CB for the majority of his career.

Great all-arpund DB.

I'm shocked no one has mentioned the dynamic duo from the Legion of Boom yet.

Larry Wilson, HOF safety with the old St Louis Cardinals was great

Ditto Willie Wood for the Vince Lombardi-era Green Bay Packers

Ed Reed, Ronnie Lott, Steve Atwater, and Brian Dawkins

Their talent transcends generations.
