Go watch his highlights from his first several years with the Saints. Absolute cannon with near perfect accuracy every throw, especially deep down field.

Love brees, but Rodgers with a good line will make mince meat of any defense.

This same logic could apply to Rodgers, Brady, and Manning as well.
Rodgers beats Brees in pretty much every stat except completion % and volume stats. And you can’t discount Rodgers far better mobility. In addition to lack of decent rushing yards, Brees also isn’t going to make 3 guys miss in the backfield too often. Brees is arguably a first ballot HOFer but Rodgers is insanely good.

When it comes to quarterbacking a football team they are both great. Brees better in some areas and Rodgers better in others.
Rogers' TD:INT ratio is what really separates the two though. He gets the nod.

Rodgers made pro bowlers out of average receivers. Brees is a future HOFer, but is no where near as good as Rodgers.

However, what is also TRUE, is that Brees has had a much longer, sustained level of greatness compared to Rodgers. Rodgers' best season is 2011, and it's largely what people remember him for and give the most credence to (subconsciously or not) when they call him the GOAT. Brees' best season is also 2011 and it 100% matches up to Rodgers' 2011. Those years aside, Drew routes Rodgers in sustained greatness, plus they each have 1 SB. If you want to give THAT much weight to Rodgers' scrambling ability, okay, but 1) That is ridiculous and 2) Brees is much more athletic than people ever gave him credit for.
Total resume and career? The answer is Drew Brees, and it isn't even close.

Brees is an amazing in the pocket timing QB but Rodgers is just an all over the field QB...Brees rolls out but it's usually passes to the sideline or flat.
Rodgers can throw across his body and not get picked, even Favre with his arm got picked a lot doing that.
