Curry is so intriguing to me. I'd love to see how he would do on a non superhuman team during his prime.
No reason to speculate as this already happened. Curry won the MVP in consecutive seasons.

When healthy, I think the top 4 is pretty clear cut.

1. Lebron
2. KD
3. Steph
4. Harden (frick him tho)

I would have AD at 5, which I think is pretty clear cut as well, but there's one specific poster that would likely disagree with this

LeBron
Harden
Giannis

Yeah, I want to find space for KD or Curry, but my deep unabiding love for Giannis knows no real bounds. He's the player I most enjoy watching, which means a lot to me.

I do like Curry because he's a small insight to how Pete Maravich would've performed in the modern NBA.

That team wasn't supremely talented, it was great because Curry played out of his mind.

I know Steph was hurt but he played below his average in that finals and didn't play at that MVP level in the finals before when they had Delly checking him. If Love and Kyrie don't go down history wouldn't be as kind to Curry. Curry is a stud and likely a top 5 player at worst but he's not better than Durant. Not even comparable IMO.

Edit- But that's more about how much respect I have for Durant. The guy is an all time great IMO.

He is also a lockdown post/perimeter defender

That's a reach for sure. He's an above average defender, mostly because of his size, but he's not a lockdown.

He can get bullied by smaller guards down low. He has a tendency to rely on his length in the post and play too soft

I mean either you are a golden state homer or don’t watch the much of the NBA. He is extremely soft. You won’t find many, if any NBA analyst that have Curry as a top 3 player in the game. He is too weak defensively. So we’ll have to agree to disagree.
You seem dumb

You'd be surprised, but I'm pretty sure he agreed that AD was 5th after winning the first round series.

Curry is the only unanimous MVP in the history of the NBA

How does that pertain to my comment at all?

dunno about boom, but AD had to win a playoff series before entering the discussion...and now he has...

i'd put him in the top 5.

You're acting like Durant is somehow looked upon more highly than Curry in the history of the NBA. I'd think that Curry has had more of an impact on the NBA, than Durant.

ETA: to say that Curry is not comparable to Durant is laughable.

Id disagree with that

I think Curry is fantastic, and has more of an impact on the Warriors success, but I think KD is a better player

I know that seems somewhat contradicting but damnit its how I feel

Well, I absolutely despise Durant, and Curry is my favorite non-Pelican player so I may have a bit of bias

Durant is just a bitch. I can't ignore his off-court antics

I can see how that makes sense.

I think Curry is more valuable to the Warriors by a decent margin. I happen to also think Curry is better than Durant, but I can see where you're coming from. I think you were in on the debate with the other 2 and I happen to hold a similar opinion where I think Klay is better than Draymond, but I think Draymond is more valuable and integral to GS's success than Klay.

I can somewhat agree with this. I just think versatility is a huge plus in the NBA and Durant is unreal versatile to go along with world class scoring. The Warriors do not beat the Cavs in the finals last year without him. I also know Curry has improved on D but you never have to hide Durant on that end although he's nowhere close to elite defensively. I just have so much admiration for Durant's game even thought I'm not a fan of him per say.
