you really can't believe that? you're more dense than the people you're talking about
eta: I never saw Lawrence Taylor play 1 down of football. why should I recognize him more than Tomlinson?

exactly. Taylor hasnt been relevant in a decade plus.
Tomlinson is a HOF running back who just retired, and is on TV every day.
The question was who comes to mind first. Tomlinson

I can't stand threads that have a sole purpose of shitting on the younger generation for not knowing a football player they never watched play. I grew up watching LT at TCU. I watched him in the NFL. It isn't insanity that a certain demographic associates those initials with Ladanian
eta: At the time of his retirement, he ranked fifth in career rushing yards (13,684), seventh in all-purpose yards (18,456), second in career rushing touchdowns (145), and third in total touchdowns (162)

I think you might be taking this a little too personally. Older posters could just as soon get defensive because they think people are calling them old for not thinking of the younger player.

The first and true "LT" is Taylor. But I am a big Tomlinson fan as well so I think of him as "LT" as well. Depending on what we were talking about, I would know which "LT" we were talking about.
I'm 39.

It depends on the context. If we're talking about touchdowns, it's Tomlinson. If we're talking about crack, it's Taylor.
