What's the worst you've felt for a team losing that wasn't your own?

For me, it's Oklahoma State losing to Iowa State in 2011. Besides the negative impact on my team (forcing us to play Alabama again), it was just heartbreaking as a college football fan in general. The personification of a "little brother" school finally having a chance to go to the big stage, having their women's basketball coaches die in a plane crash the day before, blowing a 24-7 lead, having a relatively short FG from one of the best kickers in the nation go over the upright, throwing a tipped interception in 2OT, and losing as a 28-point favorite. It doesn't get any more heartbreaking than that.

I also felt bad for the following teams:
NFL: 2007 Patriots, 2008 Cardinals, 2014 Seahawks
NBA: 2010 Suns, 2013 Spurs, 2015 Clippers, 2016 Warriors, 2018 Raptors, 2018 Rockets
CFB: 2010 Boise State, 2012 Georgia, 2013 Auburn, 2017 Wisconsin, 2017 Georgia, 2018 Georgia
CBB: 2010 Butler, 2014 Wichita State, 2015 Kentucky, 2015 Wisconsin, 2017 Gonzaga, 2019 UCF

Sacramento Kings back in the day. But they were my team sorta during that stretch back in the bibby/webber/peja days. The loss against Lakers nearly killed me.

Pretty much any March Madness team that loses and has half their guys crying because they wanted it so bad, which is pretty much 50+% of them.

It's what makes March Madness so special to me. Those guys want it so much.

When you’ve grown up in Georgia as both a Braves and Dawgs fan, you are just kind of numb to it and embrace the pain as part of your identity. Nothing really hurts anymore, that’s for sure.

I don’t have a team so I don’t feel bad after any loss. It’s just a game... for entertainment purposes.

Armando Galarraga losing his perfect game on a blown call at 1st. Runner was out by a full step which would have ended the game.

I grew up as Georgia sports fan, my whole family went to UGA aside from myself. Honestly after 28-3 and the National Championship game nothing can really hurt me anymore, I have seen it all and am more pessimistic towards all sports in general now.

most of us had our team blow a super bowl 28-3. i don't think we even give a frick anymore about the losses. one day, though, one day, the win will be so so sweet

Tennessee losing to LSU in 2010

Les Miles being awarded a W that day is among the cruelest jokes the cfb gods have played on us

Made up for Les's first home game at LSU. Overtime loss after being up 21-0 at the half against Tennessee right after Katrina.

Just want to get on record that I have never once even remotely felt bad for the Falcons in the SB, and have laughed at and/or mocked them and their fans a minimum of 283 times to date.
