I'm surprised more NBA players did not get AIDS in the 80s. Those dudes were screwing everything they came in contact with . They gave the baseball players a run for their money in that department. I met an old timer in baseball who told me that if they did a 3 game series over a weekend they could easily bag 5 . There was no shortage of women and during Spring Training it was out of hand. He told me one year Billy Martin had to sit in the hall and keep watch and limit the amount of women coming in.

The odds are far lower than receptive, but it's not like even receptive anal or needle sharing is especially high either (around 1% and 0.6%). All about number of exposures, and I'm sure Magic had almost all of them

Those odds are also skewed by reporting bias. You can assume that both of those odds should be adjusted in opposite directions. We know this on studies of patients who return to correct the record when they come to terms with the diagnosis.
