If Hank Aaron never hit a home run he would still have 3000 hits.
Roberto Clemente has the only inside the park, walk off grand slam in history.
The Atlanta Falcons blew a 28-3 lead in the Super Bowl.

Wade Boggs hit over .800 with women in scoring position.
Pete Maravich hit 30 of 31 free throws in a college game.

Al Bundy scored 4 touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High Panthers in the city championship game.

Babe Ruth’s 1921 stat line will never be matched.

Just about anything involving Greg Maddux, but maybe my favorite is that the count got to 3-0 on a batter only five times in the entire 1997 season.

How does he have more on base appearances than official plate appearances and an OBP of less than 1?
He doesn't. He had 617 plate appearances, but only 373 at bats. The number of times he reached base exceeds the number of at bats, but not the number of plate appearances

Walks and sacrifices don't count as ABs, but they do count as PAs.

Im not the biggest baseball fan but the length of the season makes some stats pretty amazing to me.
Orel Hershiser - 59 scoreless innings pitched in a row. This has been challenged somewhat I believe still crazy.
Rickey Henderson - 130 steals in 1 season. I don't see how anyone challenges this.
Joe Dimaggio - 56 games in a row with a hit. I don't see how this is ever challenged.
There are some stupid records like W's for pitchers that will never be touched so I dont think those should be mentioned.

At on time, Ted Williams was the only player to steal a base in 4 decades. He had only 24 stolen bases in his career.

Yeah, almost too many to pick from with Gretzky.
For example: 3 players in NHL history have recorded 100 assist seasons. Orr did it once. Lemieux did it once. Gretzky did it 11 times in a row.
Also, he is both the fastest and the 2nd fastest player to accumulate 1,000 points. He reached the first 1,000 in 424 games. Got another 1,000 over the next 433 games.
He could have been held pointless for every game of every season from 2000 until 2017 and still have averaged over a point per game over his career

Another crazy one for Bonds:
If you created a player who was guaranteed to go 2-5 every game of a 162 game season, that player would hit 162 HR and bat .400. His OPS would still be lower than Bonds in 2004

Ted Williams had a higher batting average than DiMaggio during that 56 game stretch.

In 1948 Stan Musial had the greatest offensive season relative to his peers in history.
Stan the Man led the National League in:
hits (230)
doubles (46)
triples (18)
runs (135)
RBIs (131)
batting average (.376)
total bases (429) 21 behind the NL record of Rogers Hornsby in 1922.
on-base percentage (.450)
slugging percentage (.702).
He was also second in Home runs with 39 which was only one behind co-champs Johnny Mize and Ralph Kiner
